No. It's a sound question of whether it was moral to kill him. I'm not sure of the answer, and would have been more convinced if the reporting of this had come from somewhere other than Crux.

I wonder what they'd say about a scenario where Hitler would be assassinated in about 1940 or so?
That is a good question. It has to have been answered here and there over the years.

The assassination was needless escalation
I think I agree. But is that a prudential judgement or a moral judgement? Or is there a difference? Might it have been moral but stupid to have killed him? Or immoral irregardless of how stupid it may or may not have been?
