On June 20 the archdiocese announced that Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School will no longer be recognized as a Catholic school due to a disagreement about the employment of a teacher who attempted to contract a same-sex marriage.

I do wonder how the archdiocese of New York handled it when NYC brought in domestic partnerships with many of the benefits of civil marriage. Now it is largely defunct for same-sex couples, but may still be used by friends, adult child and parent, etc, to get insurance benefits and so on.
