Unfortunately that seemed like a given when Pell is arguably the highest placed Catholic prelate to have such allegations leveled against him directly.

That also means the rhetoric from both sides will be higher than most cases. Both those attacking and those defending pell. Just increasing the amount of egg one side will end up with.

I'm not there on the jury, so my knowledge of the evidence is admittedly limited. But based on what I've read from reliable sources, I say that the charges he covered up for pedophile priests under him are pretty solid -- way to many witnesses, but I predict that the charges that he himself molested a few kids are gonna get thrown out because there just isn't credible evidence.
