I am disabled due to the drug thalidomide. I was born without arms nor legs. I use an electric wheelchair. I live in Liverpool, England.   But I am not angry or bitter and I am grateful to the Lord for the life that He has given me.

I have been unemployed for many years, with little prospect of finding employmemt and I am now in very severe financial difficulties.

I have never ever done anything like his before, I have always been proud and uncomplaining.... but for a variety of reasons, I am now desperate.   I am really embarrassed about asking for help, but I don't know what else I can do.  I have been praying a great deal lately and I came across this site by chance.

If anyone e-mails me personally I can provide my bank details.

Well, forgive me for being a little suspicious, but this is the internet and it's hard sometimes to trust people, as much as I would like to trust you. You live in the UK. Have you checked through your GP or local NHS Trust as to whether you are receiving full disability benefits from the UK Government?

Yes I understand you being suspicious.   I do receive disability benefit [Disability Living Allowance] ....... but I have applied for a loan from the DSS Social Fund but they said they couldn't help as I own my adapted flat - I'd have to be homeless before they could help!!  I cannot get a loan on my property because I am unemployed.   My debts are very large.
