Ooh I'm not sure if I saw this but maybe she could reduce her salt intake and see if it helps to reduce swelling?

feeling a little better and less nervous after her therapist gave
her a bunch of ideas of ways they can treat her inflamation.

My mom has no problem doing her exercises every day,and takes aleve,or ibuprofen daily. I do encourage her all the time,or aleast try to. She is hoping her surgeon will
give her the ok to have cortizone shots.Not to sound dumb but whats an opiate?

It's not a dumb question. An opiate is a class of strong painkillers, like morphine or oxycodone. Cortizone shots may be good. I'm glad she saw the doctor, and I know she's got some really bad inflammation. Over time, it's starts to turn into scar tissue and then you can't do much about it then.

thanks for explaining,She got the info about having tendonitis from
her physical therapist,but is going to see her surgeon on tuesday. He is the
one treating her since he did her wrist surgery. I hope he will come up with a good solution.
