I'll decide that for myself, thank you.

You're going to decide for yourself whether a satire site is a reliable source of information?

That is a wrenching and consequential decision that no one can decide for another!

I always try to decide for myself whom to rely on.
That way I only have myself to blame for choosing whom to trust and for what.
To often I have people telling me to trust an establishment that considers me cannon fodder.

Snopse debunked a Snopes critique?
So of course, Snopes wins.
How convenient.

You should pay attention. The Snopes link is clearly about claims that Stanley Kubrick faked the Moon landings which I assume was reported by Yournewswire and debunked by Snopes. So no, Snopes wasn't debunking a critique of Snopes, it's was debunking a fake news story on a fake news site.

I will if you will.
A Snopes 'debunk' is what is being taken to task.
You simply repeat the circle that Snopes proved Snopes is trustworthy.

Huh? What the heck are you talking about?

Here's what you posted:

Here's tulc posting a link to a Snopes article showing that a fake movie was being promoted by a satirical website. He also includes a non Snopes site that shows that Yournewswire is a Poe at the very least.

...you mean by a site that snopes debunked last year?:
http://www.snopes.com/false-stanley-kubrick-faked-moon-landings/
you might want to check this out:
http://realorsatire.com/yournewswire-com/
tulc(is just sayn') :sorry:

I'm not seeing the point that you're trying to make. If you really think that Snopes was wrong about T. Patrick Murphey interviewing Stanley Kubrick wherein he admits that he faked the Moon landings, we've not a whole 'nother discussion to have.

Gosh, it's almost as if this hadn't been addressed not once, but twice. Yournewswire is a satire site.

(now it's been addressed three times)
Ouch!

You keep using that word, but...

Yournewswire isn't a satire site. It might not be the most main-stream source and it might play host to a few kooky stories, but it's not satire.

The Onion is satire. The Babylon Bee is satire.

According to the website Real-or-Satire it is indeed satire. On what do you base that it is not?

Once again the US Senate sold us out!
Yes, and every politic official and agency and every corporations for a hundred years and longer
is suspect,
not to be trusted ---
test everything -
because YHWH says not to trust in man/men/society/ politics/ etc/ and
because clearly for a long time (forever?) the system is corrupt.

It sure looks like a satire site, or at least a tabloid site. Zero point energy? Good grief.

It has all kinds of weird stories, but they're not satirical.

I guess that is my own problem with it, it has what may be news in with what looks to be click bait garbage. I would be looking for other sources to back up any story I would get from there. It doesn't strike me as a trustworthy source.

Probably not. It would be like using WND as a trusted source.

I use these types of sites in the same way I use wikipedia. I use them as a base and then do research from there.
