Yeah I know. I was just being a Smart Aleck.

OK so there are laws barring individuals from marrying if they have SSA? Could you show me or something because I don't buy it. From what I understand every person has the same right to enter into a marriage contract regardless of their emotions.
They aren't allowed to marry the people they love. Same sex marriage is illegal in most states in America, unfortunately. So no they are many who still do not have this right.

There is a law that says you can only marry someone of the opposite sex. Why would a gay person want to marry someone of the opposite sex?

Yeah...
No one has ever made homosexuality an issue because of sex.
Ummm? whatever.
Um no? I have never heard anyone seriously believe that gay people want everyone to have gay sex..or wants everyone to be gay. Even if they don't support homosexuality, I have never heard anyone claim that. Certainly they may have an issue with the sex (even though its not their business) but, not the same as claiming they want everyone to be gay.

How did you get that I think gay people want everyone to be gay out of what I said?

I was pretty much referring to this..
If Gay people would just come out and say, they know gay sex isnt for everyone. Then those people would have no place left to hide.
If Gay people would just come out and say, they know gay sex isnt for everyone. Then those people would have no place left to hide.
My response was to say that gay people don't need to make that clear because it already should be. But I suppose this is all besides the point.

No one has that right.

So far we don't see any ways that people with heterosexual attractions have more rights than those without.

The same could be said about interracial marriages. Black people have the right to marry someone of their own race and white people have the right to marry someone of their own race. No harm right?

Homosexuality is just as a legitimate sexual orientation as heterosexuality.
If marriage was limited to only two people of the same sex, would you be alright with that? After all, you still have the right to marry...just not to the person you love.

Whats reality say about homosexuality?
Besides what the APA says which is majorly influenced by the gay and lesbian community.
Any evidence to back up this claim?

I'd say every single hetero person I have ever talked to has very plainly stated they wouldn't enjoy sex with someone of the same gender in the least. Even pro gay hetero's admit to it.
so what?

Which brings us back to the point I was making.

Homosexuals are determined to win their war by making the proclamation, that
they are no different then anyone else. There for they deserve rights.
They constantly site the interracial laws as a declaration of their rights with no regard
to what made those laws painfully obvious to everyone in the U.S.
Laws that make the claim that men and women are equal, there are also laws that are
effectively protecting the rights of interracial relationships.
These laws also make the provision that no one protected under these laws has to
demonstrate why they need to be protected by the law.
What the gay and lesbian communities are doing is falling under the pretense that they
shouldn't have to demonstrate what makes them different.
Unfortunately, the reason they are different isn't obvious. We know exactly why a
woman is a woman and what makes the difference in racial issues.
We don't know exactly why someone is homosexual. If homosexuals were to make it clear
that they understand the issue behind gay sex, it would then become obvious that they
have no choice but to be who they are.

I might agree with that to a point, some of my atheist friends dont want to see it at all and some just dont care. But I wouldn't ground my argument in it. Homosexuals aren't taking the human factor into consideration, they're simply focused on the Christian factor.
There are humans who are not christian or gay who simply dont want to see it.

For the most part equal rights didn't do away with anything but hate.
While homosexuals seem to be fighting Christians and Christianity.
They have pitted themselves against Christianity in such a way that it's either them or Christians.
Maybe that has to do with the fact that it is the Christian rights championing discrimination against this minority.

I never heard of that. I always thought it was good because when you say "People with SSA(same sex attractions)" it emphasizes that they are people just like everyone else. Also you don't divide them into a separate party like when you use the term "homosexual". You'll never have the problem of having homosexuals vs anyone else.
Would you honestly say your mother is a person with OSA?

This same line of reasoning was put fourth forty years ago to defend laws prohibiting interracial marriage.:sigh:

So far we don't see any ways that people with heterosexual attractions have more rights than those without.
wqould you actually read a listing of such laws or would you just dismiss them out of hand?

Has I have also pointed out, it isnt just Christrians making the laws.

Sure sex is fun, but its purpose is to reproduce. We dont have sexual organs just to give us funny urges. This just might be the reason why so many heterosexuals find the concept of same sex sex disturbing.
Yes, it is disturbing and not just icky. I feel I have to clarify because someone will step in an effort to tone down the word disturbing by replacing it with the word icky. When in fact disturbing is what it is to every single hetero person I have talked to and yes I have said that several times.

So while your pointing a finger at Christians and their campaign that seems to turn quite a few people into bigots in regards to Christians, think about every single hetero person who isnt Christian and who simply doent like the idea of homosexuals being accepted.
Why wouldnt they want homosexuals to be accepted?
It's simple, gay sex is disturbing and so far, gays demanding that they are no different then anyone else may just scare a few law makers who simply arent Christian.

While on the other hand if homosexuals realize why these people are afraid, they can take their fear away by just pointing out exactly why those people may fear homosexuals.

We aren't any different, so its not that hard of a proclamation to make.
There for they deserve rights.
Indeed.
They constantly site the interracial laws as a declaration of their rights with no regard
to what made those laws painfully obvious to everyone in the U.S.
The bigotry that prevented two people that loved each other to get married for so long? Sounds..somewhat similar.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. How are we supposed to demonstrate what makes us different? When it comes to marriage, there is nothing different. We want to get married for the same reasons a straight couple would.

What is the issue behind gay sex and why is it any one's business?
When I find out two people I know are getting married, the first thoughts that pop into my head are not,"I wonder if they're going to have sex? I wonder what type of sex? I wonder if they'll procreate? etc?". No thats not my business and something I couldn't care less about what a couple does behind closed doors.
I only hope that they will take good care other and that their marriage will only help them to do just that to the best of their abilities.

Hey, I have a question.
Is it at all possible for a homosexual gay or lesbian to fall in love with someone of the opposite sex?
I was once told by a lesbian that it really didn't matter, she just found women more intellectually stimulating.
I was also told by a gay man that he enjoyed sex with women, he just liked sex with men better.
I never actually got around to asking him if he could in fact fall in love with a woman.
I wonder if they can?

Some people feel that treating people with dark skin as equals is “icky” does this make racism acceptable?

When in fact disturbing is what it is to every single hetero person I have talked to and yes I have said that several times.
Does this make bigotry morally acceptable?

So while your pointing a finger at Christians and their campaign that seems to turn quite a few people into bigots in regards to Christians,

And there are racists who happen to be black…so what?

Why wouldnt they want homosexuals to be accepted?
It's simple, gay sex is disturbing and so far, gays demanding that they are no different then anyone else may just scare a few law makers who simply arent Christian.
Why did it take more than a century after the end of the civil war to pass civil rights legislation?

Were blacks scarring members of congress?

While on the other hand if homosexuals realize why these people are afraid, they can take their fear away by just pointing out exactly why those people may fear homosexuals.

So…its the fault of our gay and lesbian brothers and sister that people are prejudiced
