Can someone explain this logic to me?

Its not bigotry! Its just not allowing a group of people to have certain rights because I think what they are doing is wrong based on my 2000 year old book!

You mean Marriage? Because Christians aren't the only ones concerned about gay marriage. Has I have been saying, it has to do with sex. It's not just Christians saying, gay sex is bad. It's atheist saying along side them, gay sex is freaky and then hiding behind Christians and saying, they did it!
So join in the game of peekaboo and lets get this sorted out.

Good point.

Maybe all those atheists that find homosexuality disgusting and wrong are actually subconciously Fundamentalists. They've been hypnotized and they don't know it.

Well, the government isnt run by Christians alone. There isnt a tag team made completely of fundamentalist running touchdowns against gay marriage.
Sure the fundies are taking the credit or being given the entire credit, but those fundies are being held by the shirttail and forced to drag some unspoken friends across the finish line with them.

If Gay people would just come out and say, they know gay sex isnt for everyone. Then those people would have no place left to hide.

The difference is christians say "gay sex is wrong and we should stop people from having it." While straight atheists tend to say "it gross and I would never do it, but I don't care if other people do."

I might agree with that to a point, some of my atheist friends dont want to see it at all and some just dont care. But I wouldn't ground my argument in it. Homosexuals aren't taking the human factor into consideration, they're simply focused on the Christian factor.
There are humans who are not christian or gay who simply dont want to see it.

For the most part equal rights didn't do away with anything but hate.
While homosexuals seem to be fighting Christians and Christianity.
They have pitted themselves against Christianity in such a way that it's either them or Christians.
May sound a little extreme but that is whats going on.
If homosexuals say, they realize that heterosexuals dont and could never enjoy sex with someone of the same gender then they're not pitting what they are against what everyone else is. They're simply saying, they need rights.

Thats exactly whats going on. I don't think a homosexual has every claimed that a straight person should stop being straight. All any of us have ever claimed is we want the right to get married.

It's not splitting hairs to say that people with SSA have the exact same marriage rights as those without SSA. The thing is some people want to marry people of the same gender. Every unmarried person has the option of marrying even if they don't want to. "Asexuals" for example. So the question is "Should everyone be given the option to marry someone of the same gender?". That demands raising and answering the question "What is marriage for?" Is it to give legal recognition to a relationship between any two or more people who have fuzzy feelings toward each other? Is it a religious institution? Or is it a social institution built, initially, for the purpose of creating a family where reproduction and child rearing may occur in a healthy manner?

Why should I take your posts seriously when you are calling homosexuality a mental disorder?

"SSA" The term was coined in order to give homosexuality a name evocative of a mental disorder. You speak of "having" it as if it is a disease.

I never heard of that. I always thought it was good because when you say "People with SSA(same sex attractions)" it emphasizes that they are people just like everyone else. Also you don't divide them into a separate party like when you use the term "homosexual". You'll never have the problem of having homosexuals vs anyone else.

Then I apologize. Every time I have seen it used, it has been by far right wingers attempting to make a disorder out of it. Places like narth and love inaction use the term to make what they do sound scientific.

I have never heard a gay person say, "Everyone in the world should be gay." I'm not even sure where you are getting this from.

I didnt say, thats what they say. I said, they need to make it clear that they dont.
Why? Anyone with half a brain could figure that one out. Their aren't trying to force their lifestyle on anyone. They just want to be treated equally under the law.

Anyone with half a brain? So if you have 2/3 of a brain or a whole brain you can't understand it? :D

My question I guess is what laws are there that say "If you have same sex attractions you have these rights, and if you don't you have even more rights"?

Anyone with at least half a brain.

Marriage and anti-discrimination laws. They want the right to marry and they don't want to be fired for being gay/bi/transgendered.

Have you ever actually talked to a gay person?

OK so there are laws barring individuals from marrying if they have SSA? Could you show me or something because I don't buy it. From what I understand every person has the same right to enter into a marriage contract regardless of their emotions.
