Yes i believe the Church of God is in real danger. The socialisation of the Church, which makes the Church just an extension of the social order, is a real danger.

What hope is there for those with faith in the God of all ages?

Yes. The Churches and their dislocation from public society and the replacement of what used to be the functions of the Church with secular organs and institutions is a critical challenge to the Church and it's current place within society.

Yet the Church has always been in danger as long as she was comprised of people and surrounded by people. We can only but do our best and repent of our failures.

There is no doubt that church membership and attendance has fallen in recent decades across much of Christendom. How far this trend will go is impossible to predict. My own personal view for 10-20 years now is that within another generation or so, we will see the closure of many small local congregations and there will have to be mergers of various Protestant denominations in the U.S., like happened in Canada long ago with the United Church of Canada.

Not at all, lambofgod. The Catholic Church has lost huge numbers of followers as well, especially in Europe. Ireland is the prime example. Mass attendance there was about 90% each week a few decades ago and it has now dropped to about 50%. Meanwhile, Mass attendance in some European countries is down to 10% or less in the worst cases like the Czech Republic or the Netherlands or Belgium. I am not so sure about the Orthodox Church. Perhaps they are doing a little better, but I doubt much better?

The...church...is...an extension of the social order.
And only those churches survive who take the task seriously.
The rest are failing.

humans have always been in danger. you might not have noticed this but as atheist always like to point out we very well might not have been christians if it was not part of our culture or part of our tribal coherence. in fact we may have been nazis if we were in nazi germany, there is a good chance of that. all the childish things people have done recently is proof at how little developed some people are. the lack of morality and discernment of when is it a good time to disrupt the government is telling. hyper-focus on .001% of the evils is confusing peoples discernment. those people talking about a civil war are falling right into the hands of the elites, this is exactly the kind of scapegoat they want. have fun being easily slaughtered.

this is a time when Christians should be stepping up and forming their own self-sufficient and well connected communities. the ultra rich are buying up land because they are smart, one can only hope that they will use it for good rather than evil.

I have been listening to a lot of scientist recently and their taboo is against anything not scientifically discerned. they are by association to what they are associated to, not christian, for the most part. maybe most christians are just like them. they just kind of fall into what they are. after all, it's not like you get to pick how tall you are or what color of your skin you have. atheism is increasing because it's getting more popular, heh.
