Can I ask God for a better job with these criteria?
1. higher salary to cope with increasing financial burden (due to children have grown up and need to go to colleges, due to inflation and increased value added tax of goods imposed by the government).
2. a new job with better stability, to work in a better company that will unlikely to retrench people.

Is it Ok to ask for this?

I think if you seek Him first, He'll give you more than you can imagine :).

You can pray for the job and having your daily needs met.

This is how me and mine were taught ... near grown children should be encouraged to work and help provide for what they need before they graduate from high school.
My grandchildren once they are old enough, they cut grass for a set amount of money and half of it went to help with buying their school clothes and shoes.
The ones that are 15-16 years of age work part time jobs during the school year and on summer break, holiday breaks they worked full time.

I believe that grown children who desire to go to college should also be willing
to work and help with paying for that education and parents can assist as much
as it's possible for them to do so.
Many that I know of have found they didn't need college, that got good paying
jobs by going to trade school... our oldest grandson is looking at trade school
and he's learning to be an electrician and will be getting some training this
summer once school is over.

Also be praying that your children be found in Christ(saved) and that they be seeking to please God and to live out biblical teachings.

You can have whatever you truly believe God is willing to do, and a better job or pay rise is certainly within the will of God.

Wether it will actually do you good is another matter. Balaam pestered God to go with Balak and God said go, but it nearly cost him his life. ha ha

You can ask Him for anything, but be willing to accept His answer. He may give you exactly what you have asked for.* Or He may respond by saying, "Here's what I want you to do..."

"And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, 'They have no wine.'
Jesus said to her, 'Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.'
His mother said to the servants, 'Whatever He says to you, do it.'” John 2:3-5

*He has granted my requests so many times, even when they were trivial!

From a theological point of view I think it is fine. And personally I had this experience - a job I really wanted came up and I prayed that God would let me get it. It took quite some time (later I realised that God was preparing me for the new position) I eventually got the exact job I prayed for, and love it.

God is good!

I believe that it's ok to ask God for anything as long as I add
if it be your will Dear God.

I daily ask God for so many things -- then give them all to Him
knowing that He knows what is best for me.

Staying grateful for what he has given me seems most important.

You can ask God for anything you like. That's the relationship we have with God, we talk, He listens.

I would though, in your mind and heart, just try to balance your prayers or requests to God to be like 2/3 your requests and then maybe 1/3 about others. It's important to remember we are to not always be looking out for self, but others too.

My faith is weak, I worry God will not listen to me,
I need evidence to have faith in God.
Will God give me evidence?
God not only will listen to you, but the Bible says he is waiting to hear from you. So, yes, go ahead and ask. If God wills it, you will get that better job.

Sure.
And also ask that HIS WILL be accomplished.
Then trust HIM to accomplish HIS WILL.

Yes, but, here is the hard part for us, it will be in his timing.

No. That’s what faith is. And God says faith is key.

You must rest in faith.

You can ask God for more faith.

I asked God for a certain job, I gave Him specifications and I got exactly what I asked for, exactly!

I needed a house close to my office and I told Him exactly where I wanted it, I got it

But as I've grown, I prefer just letting Him give me what He thinks is best because He knows what I need better than I do

Prayed for a long time for a God loving and fearing wife.
Wasn't expecting it but, there she was.

Nothing wrong with asking.

I lost faith and start to complain,
I don't see God is listening to me.
I feel painful in my heart.
What can I do now?

Maybe stop complaining
and be grateful
for what you do have.

Helps me every time.

 Yes.

However, do not simultaneously insult God. Please cease doing that (i saw your other thread).

Praying for you (((hug)))
