  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Can earthquakes trigger volcanic eruptions?
Yes. Of course much more common are the earthquakes that accompany volcanic eruptions. Included within that group are those small tremors occurring as magma moves towards the surface, or too higher magma chambers. Carefull monitoring of these can enable predictions of volcanic eruptions. But please note that they are not causing the eruption - in a sense they are the eruption, certainly one of its manifestations.

Best Answer: The Creator is in charge. Wind, Snow, Hail, Tornadoes, Ocean, Rain, Sunshine, Sunrise, Sunset, Seasons.... God's in Charge.
That doesn't really answer anything.

Literally anything can happen if it's the will of an omnipotent, interventionist deity.
Volcanoes cause earthquake... sure.
Earthquakes cause volcanoes... why not?
Volcanoes cause fish to grow to the size of sky scrapers and float over the land... well, you can't rule it out.

If it does , or if it did answer anything, would it matter ?
Well, you can't rule it out.

:)

That's the thing, you can never rule it out... but you can't ever use it to work anything out either.

The way I look at it is: It might be true, but it can't be useful.

I read about the Book of Enoch as a teenager and have been using the handle Shemjaza for decades.

I might be missing the point here,

but I agree that we as vessels of clay cannot even work out our own lives.

The Creator and The Master "vessel maker" is the one who works things out.

As a vessel, we are .... not equipped to help ourselves the way He Can and Does.

I feel that accepting the unknowable isn't practical. I like to have reasons, explanations and ideas that lead to understanding or at least a starting point.
