I was born disabled. None of my disabilities can be cured. Yes, 9 months of pregnancy would be harder. I have epilepsy and would not be able to take seizure medications if I got pregnant. Without pregnancy all I have to worry about is taking my pills on time.

Why do you even waste time asking? Obviously the mother because without her the baby would get no oxygen, nutrients, or whatever else goes through placental and umbilical blood.

Not true. There are seizure medications that are safe for pregnant women. In fact, according to the seizure foundation, "Most of the seizure medications can be used safely,"
    Seizure Medications and Pregnancy

So I hope it makes you feel better knowing that you can have a safe and healthy pregnancy.

But even as a newborn infant, the baby depends on the mother for nutrients. Should the mother then have the control to kill her baby? The only thing stopping her are those pesky little laws that the patriarchy established that takes that choice away from her.

You will never understand if you want to take that attitude and work around your own agenda.

I can tell you I am almost 40 and in my time on this earth, the christians that are now for abortion (for any reason) has changed like crazy. It used to be a thing most everyone agreed was bad. Now you would have never guessed people were united about it being bad.

So, to be clear, 9 months of pregnancy would be harder than 42 years of being disabled and having epilepsy? This is what you are claiming?

Does taking pills twice a day look hard to you? Pregnancy is much harder than that and I am sure any fertile woman would agree.

Exactly. So, the mother of the unborn child is the one who wants control. Not the pro life people...

And the mother is the one who has control, not the government.

I have not got epilepsy and I am not disabled.... But I'm willing to be that if I asked anyone who had epilepsy and was disabled, that if they got pregnant and carried the child to term and delivered it.. .that they would be cured of both ailments.... they would run out and get pregnant.

My wife was in a car crash and hospitalized for 2.5 months and still needs a walker and home care for simple things...She will be back to 100% soon.... But, I bet she would deem a pregnancy as much less of an trial... as she went through it, willingly, three times....doubt if she would go through her disabilities that she has now three times.

Yep, and at 1 year old, I still had total control of my children. They were much more of a handful and life changing rascals then than they were when my wife was pregnant with them... still, I did not have the right to kill them.

The mother has the right and control to eat well, get rest, not drink, not smoke and make sure that the child growing inside her has the best chance at being healthy.

Not the choice to have it cut up into bits and sucked out into a canister.

A full-term pregnancy does nothing to fix flawed parts of a woman's body if that's what you mean.

No babies are cut into bits and thrown in a canister.

The mother is not legally obligated to breastfeed. The father can bottlefeed the baby. There is no problem getting oxygen after a baby is born if it s full-term. Your argument does not hold water.

But the baby depends entirely on others for nourishment, therefore, if the mother doesn't want to nourish the baby, why would that be wrong?

Or anyone else able to hold a bottle. It is not just the mother anymore.

The point is that many people who are "pro-choice" are not aware that there are other "choices" other than abortion.

Second, you are right that I will never understand the pro-choice platform. Because just like the method of conception does not determine the value of the child, neither does the risk of the pregnancy determine the value of the child.

So were are the babies who are cut into bits thrown into?

That is not the point. Is it wrong if the child dies because the mother did not choose to nourish the baby anymore? Should a mother be able to make that choice?

But you said if the child requires man made help to survive then it doesn't have rights?
