What, specifically, is wrong with being unpatriotic?

That was, after all, the reason Christians were persecuted by the Romans.
Not that I totally agree with the sentiment, but many would say that Rome was a pagan godless nation while the US is a Christian nation.

Therefore being unpatriotic is going against God.

ETA:

IMO it is highly debatable how much of a “Christian nation” the US actually is.

America is not a Christian nation nor has it ever been. Just because Christians live in this country does not make it a Christian nation. If it wouldn't derail this thread from its OP and take it off topic, I would shred the claim that America is a Christian nation to pieces, as I have done before on this site.
