I'm glad to hear that you aren't critical of those physically unable to attend a Sunday church meeting. You're quite right: sometimes it can get impossible to do so. For those who are able to attend, though, they have an explicit biblical injunction to do so.

So sorry. I have experiences like yours. You open upbfor real and they cant get away fast enough. You asked, I told you. Your situation sounds quite severe compared to mine. I rode it out. When it came time for prayer requests I let it all out. All the details. Should have seen the long faces! Even one praise report in particular. I used to run, but cant anymore. Used to get runners highs where I halucinated. So after a very long recovery (I had a heart & kidney transplant) I got outside and did some heavy yard work. Well I had a serious runners high. So I shares how super stoned I was. My pastors face hit the floor. I went on to explain to all the situation and that it was all natural & my bodies own responce. I know what your feeling. Its as though what ever happens to us we just keep on the happy face. Its called denial. Life hurts. Life brings joy. And God wants us to experience that with other believers. Please do not dispair. God will bring to to that place. And you may be a catalyst to help bring others to that point. Keep seeking other churches. Share with them how you feel. It could get scarey. Stepping out blind like that. But God will honor your faith in seeking Him and His. I guarentee it. He did for me. And like I said by just being honest with others I believe it helped break down barriers and worked both ways, for me the seeker and those from whom I was seeking. God Bless.

Wow I can't believe this happened to me. :') Thank you so much for sharing this post! Its partly due to a large majority of this church's congregation being female, and being one of few guys who went to that church, I can't share too much nitty gritty in a group like that unless I'm dating, but I still felt as if I had to adhere to limits imposed by friends and family on how I feel and how I pour into others. Very uncomfortable situation. On the other hand, people just simply pasted on smiles even when they were overwhelmed. They were just insincere. I've experienced this most of my life, and thought that I would just give up being vulnerable and honest. But its people like you who remind me not to change, and its not weird opening up to others with my heart and life. Please pray that I can be the person God's created me to be, and that He can lead me to others who care about my life! I hope those peeps are out there.

Hello Matthew we have all had struggles we have had to endure but use your time while your not in church do discover yourself and see if christianity is still something your could actively pursue in the future.

Thank you so much. My recent struggles have no effect on my relationship with God, but I am thankful I’m taking a break from church to pursue my studies for grad school, and develop my personality! ☺️

I was involved in a church that said that. Turned out they didn't mean it.

You can't take labels at face value. "Bible church" is just marketing.

"Let God be true and every man a liar."
