That's very good of him for several reasons:
1. To protect the priests from offering he something that she could not receive.
2. To let her clearly know of her changed status in the church.
3. Thoughtful, because she has a lot on her plate, and without the note could well forget or else not understand what her changed status is.
4. Gives her notice how that change will affect her life going forward.
5. Now there's a very good example of clergy proactively caring for the members of the Church.

I think it’s going to be worse than struck dead in the end if she does not change her ways. As I said before, politics have taken the place of faith. It’s an idol.
