OK so over the last week or so I have been having increasing episodes of what I will describe as cramping, lower down, and discomfort, heaviness in the pelvis/cervix area.

It kinda feels like what I would imagine braxton hicks, but they are actually painful as well as being uncomfortable.

It feels as though my belly is tightening, but I can't be sure, becuase it is pretty tight and hard normally.

I'm just not sure if this is what BH contractions feel like??

Still lots of fetal movement.

I don't think I had this at all in my first pregnancy! And if I did, I can't remember it.

I have been fairly active the last few days, and probably overdid it back at work wed/thurs. - My legs and back were killing me, I tend to squat a bit at work, something that I don't do normally so my thighs were really sore!

Should I be concerned??
Or just take it easy?

Anyone else have these experiences?

Make sure that you are hydrated....those 10 or so glasses of water a day are really important.

Yes, BH ctx can be painful...and are also sometimes your body working to get baby into a better position--which might be happeneing if you've been sitting a lot and are now more upriht and active.

Ok. I'm relieved now, thanks! I was feeling like such a wuss!

I had them again this morning, there were like 4 or 5 in a row then the time between them got longer and longer until they went away (about an hour or so all up).

I guess it will help me pracitce my breathing and distraction techniques for labour :)
