That's funny. Home Depot has been a long-time supporter of gay-pride parades.

I think people that boycott based on the results of peoples votes are attempting to steer voters in a very aggressive way. I feel it interferes with voting process using fear tactics.

Riot gear and protest signs and plenty of spray paint so they can leave their mark on everything.

I always preferred it over Lowes, personally. I prefer Ace Hardware over both, however.

Regardless, I don't plan on boycotting. I have too many projects to finish this summer. ^_^

My one issue with Home Depot is that they really need to stop selling invasive plants like Barberry. Come on...

I detest Trump, but Home Depot is a separate entity and has never financially supported Donald Trump, or any other political candidate, so I think its an overreaction.

Trump tweeting to defend Home Depot probably isn't helping the company's image, however.

Let them go somewhere else to buy their picket signs (parts to make them?)

Home Depot is doing just fine here.

They helped many, many fire victims after the Cedar Fire. 25 hundred homes lost. One was mine.

Also funny since there's a large pro-Trump faction in the LGBTQ community.

Political boycotts are boring and best left to social media denizens. If I need lumber or home supplies, I'll go to Home Depot as long as they've got quality, price, service and best location.

I disagree. Grassroot boycotts have shown to be effective; and we shouldn't be supporting certain companies who don't have our nation's best interests at heart:

    Do boycotts really work?

I didn't say they didn't work; I just generally don't care whether or not they work. When I shop, I want the best product at the best price. I don't ask or really care about political opinions. I'm trading a product for some digits in a bank account - I'm not trading my dollars for political opinions. If I trade dollars for political opinions, I'll go to a campaign dinner or something.

I think that hate as a political tool is reaching frightening levels.

Businesses started sticking their noses into politics a little too vocally. Coming back to bite them on both sides of the political isle.

A lot of politicians are successful businessmen. But I see your point.

"Businesses" is not whom I was referring to.
