Please keep up on the latest Trump news.
He has been stating for days now that a fence would probably work in many areas.
The one shown in the video above in Israel looks pretty good.
Actually, if we do keep up on this issue we will realize that same company that built the fence in Israel has done some fencing on the United States border.
Let's just hire them to do a bunch more and get this border issue over with so we can move on to other things.

That looks like a wall to me.
Also note:
- Israel's border wall is patrolled 24/7
- Israel's border wall is 440 miles long
- Israel's border wall is largely in inhabited areas that are easy to access for patrol and repair purposes
- The US-Mexico border is ~2000 miles long and already has ~700 miles of walls, fences, and other barriers
My issues with Trump's border wall are threefold:
1. He doesn't seem to have a clear plan. Depending on when you ask him about it, he's said that he wants to cover the whole border, half of it, or only where it's needed. He's said that it should be solid concrete, "see-through", steel slat barriers, and a "totally new design using US steel."
2. There are already existing contracts out (and more to be awarded) to build and repair walls along the border under plans drafted by the Bush and Obama administrations. For the most part, these already cover the areas where it makes sense to have a wall. I've yet to see ANYONE present evidence that these existing and planned barriers are inadequate - in fact, Trump (or his representative) has taken credit for them on at least one or two occasions.
3. Without a clear plan and with the amount of wall that already exists in key areas, there doesn't seem to be a need for anywhere near the amount of money Trump is asking for.
