It can be rendered as pure/clean/unpolluted.

Praise God, i was JUST thinking on dietary laws yesterday!-lol

If it's okay, I'd like to ask a question here, if I may be so intrusive towards your thread?

Are dietary laws said to be Levitical in the body of Scripture?

I can see how they can be construed as such, seeing as they pertain to keeping oneself spotless, unpolluted from the world, but is there any Scriptural teaching along these lines that you recall atm? (My brains aren't working too well today-lol)

Okay well, time for my vitamin B now!

Hrrm, I wonder..

What does 'weak in the faith' mean?
Are there any other similar statements in the Bible?

I can only think of Jesus saying, over and over again..

"How long shall I be with you?" "How long shall I suffer ye of little faith"

"Bring him here to Me."

"And He healed them all."

Then again, if it's 'weakness of conscience or morals' it could be something TOTALLY different..
Such as eating food sacrificed to idols, ect...

Would you mind expounded a bit more please?

Anyone?

Hi Zeena. Sorry about that :sorry:
I tend to use every greek word in the greek texts for this thread, and word for word from the greek, so it may at times sound "awkward".

There are many Bible versions you can look at that will make it less "awkward", and I wonder if it was spoken the same way by Paul as the greek text is?

# 5567 used 5 times in 4 verses. Two times in 1 Corin 14, one each in Romans 15, Ephesians 5, James 5.
It appears to be a form of the word "psalms".

Taken from 2 Samuel 22:50/Psalm 18:49.

Romans 15:9 Yet the nations for sake of mercy/kindness to glorify the God, according as it hath been written, `because of this I will confess to Thee in nations, and to Thy name I shall make melody'/yalw <5567> (5692)

Textus Rec.) Romans 15:9 ta de eqnh uper eleouV doxasai ton qeon kaqwV gegraptai dia touto exomologhsomai soi en eqnesin kai tw onomati sou yalw

Strong's Number G5567 matches the Greek ψάλλω (psallō), which occurs 5 times in 4 verses in the Greek concordance of the KJV

psallo psal'-lo probably strengthened from psao (to rub or touch the surface; compare 5597); to twitch or twang, i.e. to play on a stringed instrument (celebrate the divine worship with music and accompanying odes):--make melody, sing (psalms).
5568. psalmos psal-mos' from 5567; a set piece of music, i.e. a sacred ode (accompanied with the voice, harp or other instrument; a "psalm"); collectively, the book of the Psalms:--psalm. Compare 5603.

#2165 used 14/16 times in 14 verses. 6 times in Gospels [all in Luke], 2 times Acts, 3 times each in Epistles and Revelation.
I found it interesting that it is similar to the word "Euphrates" used in Revelation 9:14/16:12.

This verse taken from Deuteronomy 32:43

15:10 And again he is saying 'be making merry/rejoicing ye/eufranqhte <2165> (5682) Nations with the people of Him

Textus Rec.) Romans 15:10 kai palin legei eufranqhte eqnh meta tou laou autou

Strong's Number G2165 matches the Greek εὐφραίνω (euphrainō), which occurs 16 times in 14 verses in the Greek concordance of the KJV
