I’ve noticed that some believe we are in the end times now (does that mean we are living through the prophecy of the book of revelations? If so at what point in that book are we now living?).

Ive never read the book of revelation yet, but I just read a summary online just now. Sounds frightening.

7 seals with 6 judgements on the earth then seven angels each with seven trumpets of judgement. Wow

I’ve heard that we’re in the end times too. I think we’re near the end of the world, but not going through the stuff in Revelations yet, but I’m not sure. I’m trying to learn more about Revelations but it’s confusing.

What is the end of the world then please?

That would be one of the four views of Revelation. The view you are speaking of is Dispensationalism(Futurist). There is also Preterism, Historisist and Idealist.
I recommend reading about these views before or simultaneously so that you have a thoughtful understanding. Blessings.

My denomination holds seminars every year, in our churches around the world, to explain the prophecies of the books of Daniel and Revelation. The seminars, which usually have upwards of 10 to 20 one hour sessions, are really just footnotes of the amount of information that can be unpacked.

We have much larger academic studies, which are typically 20 to 35 one hour sessions. Even those are too small, and so there are new and varied academic study seminars being made on a regular basis, which look at the subject matter from different angles.

A summary can be done, but it can't possibly cover everything in the detail it needs to be understood.

What do we know?
  • All timed prophecies of Daniel and Revelation have come to pass. Revelation 10:6
  • The beast powers that work in concert to bring about the mark of the beast are already here and working toward that goal, with a prominence and transparency that has never been seen before. Revelation 13:1-8, Revelation 13:9-18
  • Apostasy of the church has been ongoing since the crucifixion. Thinking to change times and laws of God, and setting up false worship. 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Daniel 7:25
  • The moral decay of society has reached the level prophesied. 2 Timothy 3:1-7, Matthew 24:10, Matthew 24:12
  • What we're seeing today is as it was in the days of Noah. Matthew 24:37-39
  • All of these have come to pass (and increasing) as prophesied: War and rumors of war, nation/kingdom rising against nation/kingdom, famine, pestilence, and earthquakes in diverse places. These were the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:6-8
  • People claiming to be Jesus. Matthew 24:4-5, Matthew 24:11
  • Soon, liberty of conscience (worship) will be taken away. At that time, every person will have to make a decision, whether to worship as God commanded or worship as man dictates. Revelation 13:15-17
  • Every person's decision will be set, and probation will close. Revelation 22:11-13
  • The seven last plagues will then be poured out onto the world. Revelation 15 and Revelation 16.
  • The saints are patient and keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 14:12
  • Final cataclysmic events. Revelation 6:12-17, Revelation 16:17-21
  • Jesus comes in the clouds.
How much time do we have? Not much.

Can you suggest another more accurate source please?
I can only tell you my view after leaving Dispensationalism. It is Partial Preterist.
Though, as a new Christian I suggest grounding your faith with the all the books and hold off on Revelation till you have a deeper overall knowledge of the Gospel. The biggest mistake Christian's make in interpreting scripture is not using good Hermeneutics. Basically the who, what, where, when and why?
Everything has its place in the history of the human condition according to our Father. Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the CENTER of all.
Blessings.
