We don't actually know that. The distance between Egypt and Sudan isn't geographically great, but the genetic distance is--particularly if the claim is that Egyptians were genetically Caucasian.

Keep in mind that there is a giant argument/fight raging within Judaism over what does “Real Jewish Genetics” mean. Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews both currently declare the other false imposters genetically and therefore unqualified to be “Children of the Promise...”.

I think there is a fulfillment of prophecy in there somewhere.... .

I was poking around trying to understand what shows up in family DNA results and stumbled into the powder keg....

I was amazed at how bitter and vitriolic the argument has become - even including rabbis on both sides calling eachother gentiles and imposters and basically declaring the “other half” of Judaism as imposters.....

Apparently it has roots going back to Ezra and Nehemiah and the 2nd temple - where they basically invalidated everybody who couldn’t track their lineage through written family records...

And that is behind the New Testament references to some people as “The Jews” and then the rest of the people even though they were all Jewish..... The Jews were the ones who could prove their lineage. The rest couldn’t and so were treated as disqualified from being bona-fide “Sons of Abraham”.....

The Ashkenazi "Jews" are not even Semitic. Ashkenaz came from Japheth, not Shem - Genesis 10:2-3

They are called Ashkenazi because they live in Ashkenaz, just like Portuguese Jews are called Portuguese because they live in Portugal - not because they're descended from some illustrious ancestor called "Portug".
