Block Unwanted Ads?

My computer says Safe Search is on, but I'm getting trashy ads. What can I do?

My understanding is that Safe Search restricts access to certain sites, the most common probably being inappropriate contentography. It will do nothing to eliminate ads that are generated automatically by many sites. Which web-browser are you using? Most (all?) have an ad-blocker that should solve your problem.

What browser are you using? Chrome and Firefox have some good extension ad-blockers.
