Blessing and Curses.

What do you think on Blessing and Curses??

I found out that when you curse people you are cursing yourself
aswell.

Also simple things like old cliches can curse oneself like;

Over my dead body e.t.c

Or when people can curse you;
break a leg !
Hope he/she crawls back into that rock!

Friends/wifes/husbands e.t.c saying that you are dumb,fat,ugly,lazy and good for nothing.

My son never cleans his room ,grr made me so angy i used to say this rooms a pig sty, your not going to out untill its done,its disgusting your disgusting.

Once i applied this, well it not as bad but still messy so i say now
"Son your cieling is nice and clean" !! ( hee hee) He gets the message and its working.

Curses are a hinderence in our christian walk also from getting blessings.

Balaam was ask to curse Isreal, God tells us not to curse. Roman 121:14
We are covered by Gods glove"s so unless you believe that you are open to a curse or curses from people.

You can even curse object's ; cars,bikes e.t.c
I hate this car/bike or its allways breaking dumb car.

Jesus cursed a olive tree, and it died.

We must be carefull on what we say even when if its just a figure of speech.

Once i broke all curses over my life and ask for forgiveness for the millions of curses i had said to people and myself ,then i started to recieve more abundantly also applying the Jabez prayer has opened the flood gates for me.
Blessing is what I want,not curses

I agree with what you have written.


The tongue can be used as a weapon on yourself or on others, also it can be used to speak life over things and people.

I am one of these people who has to watch the wagging tongue every day.

Also gossip can be a curse too over other people.

I would defiantly agree self talk is directly related to self image and ultimately your success or failure in everyday life. Every day I see people working dead end jobs with no dream (actually believe everybody has been given a dream their just afraid to pursue it) pass up opportunities because they have to themselves that may times that “it will never work”, “I haven’t got the time” etc…

My dad unfortunately is the perfect example of a dream squashier he made me finish year 12 which was a good thing. But instead of encouraging me to go to uni he wanted me to go and become a plumber “because everybody always needs a plumber and it’s hard to get work out there once you graduate uni” I’m lucky I didn’t listen to him I now run my own business. But those words did effect me because it showed how little confidence he had in me, luckily I found a mentor who sore potential in me and educated me about positive thinking, self talk goal setting and dream building.

Lesson always encourage others especially you’re children

But i cant take the credit for that , ive read it in a book.
God has been showing me that to recieve i must not only forgive others but to release curses aswell.
God has been putting books on this very subject and the last i read was
The Prayer of Jabez, Its a must to read this and to apply it aswell.

I can get a full list of the books God has lead me to read,Funny i think of it just now God has been preaching to me

All son's are the same Matt. They go through stages of growing up. Mum's and Dad's get a bit cross with them and we say things we never mean. The kids know that ... they just come back for more.

I was told a curse had been placed over my life when I was 11. It was odd because from that age onwards, everything seemed to go wrong for me.
I break that curse in the Name of Jesus once again. Now, everything goes right for me. Well, as right as my Father in Heaven permits as it's His Will, not mine that leads my life.

I haven't read The Prayer of Jabez but I’ve read The Dream Giver they're on the same lines. The dream giver speaks such truth it really puts things into perspective

the Prayer of Jabez is very deep, you cold have a sermon on each of the four lines.

My son keeps changing his mind and some of the he comes up with is an Oil rigger,that the latest one, lol hes so funny at times.

I printed out alot of material about the Prayer of Jabez. It's fascinating to read. The Prayer is actually in the Bible but there is more to it than meets the eye. Right Matt?

Thankyou for reminding us of these important teachings. The Bible tells us that there is power in the tongue - could you imagine what would happen if what we said actually came true?!?!? I remember my mum saying to me once "Never say something unless you don't mind if it comes true"!!! Jesus promised that if we have faith we could move mountains and do miraculous things like Him, He spoke and the wind and the waves stood still - what if we suddenly found we had the some literal power!!! What a huge responsibility we have to control our tongues!

What a strange place to have a prayer; hidden i think for those who wanna search
so much treasure to be found in the bible.

Jabez has a meaning for it aswell, but i wont say atm untill i get the full meaning it does help to understand the prayer.

I'm Praying that our;
Father will open your spiritual eyes and recieve revelation on the prayer of Jabez and that you have blessing in the will of Gods way,
and may your territory increase with each step as you claim in our loving Father"s name,
and his Hand may strengthen you and give more Knowledge,wisdom,love and have more of Him and less of you when you talk with people to claim ground.To give his words and not your"s.Also to help rely on Jesus our King at all times.
To keep you from all evil that you may not cause pain and guide your footsteps from the pot holes and snares and traps and be a light unto your feet as you take your daily walk.
In the name of Jesus Christ our beloved King. AMEN

I must also warn Bev taking ground and recieving blessing comes at a price as the devil attacks and when he attacks be in Joyfull spirit coz your on the right path.

I would also encourage you not to buy into the Prayer of Jabez - it literally reduces prayer to an 'instant gratification expectation' of what God will and will not do. He is not a puppet to be toyed with at our whim. And we should not be praying for material blessings as 'proof' of His love for us.

Be careful that you do are not mislead by false prophets - there are many in the world today and many more to come before the End.

I never would have anything to do with superstitious statements; walking under the ladder, spilling salt etc.

No we dont have the power God has the power when you talk of it in that light, but Jesus did calm the seas he didnt stop the storm but moved it on, therefore the storm passed and calm the seas.

Definetly agree God is not puppet.

Also no we should"nt pray for material things to show that God loves us,

God does loves us and he blesses us in all ways of his will, not our will.
If your son ask's for a gift, you wouldnt give him a snake which would bite him.
No way but you would give him a beutifull gift that he needs or to abundantly give him gives more then one.

God said ask and you shall recieve he would not give you a snake but abundantly give more, as a true christian we would not ask for a millian dollars?
For God said he supply all our needs,
When you have child you will supply all of the babies needs.

There is nothing wrong in asking for Blessings in all things(love,wisdom,better job etc)
Also to allow God to bless you in HIS WILL not our own will,
we are his children.
God want's to bless as you would want to give/bless your own child.

As a child we must ask God.( healing,prayers for other ppl etc.)
God like's to be ask, just like you ask Jesus into your life, if you didnt ask you wouldnt recieve Jesus into your life.
We must rely on God for all our needs.
There is a time coming when ppl willl have to do just that to survive.

Very sound words of wisdom Wolflily and the Jabez prayer is Good in conjunction with a humble heart if used properly and not to be abused in
Selfish ways.

I'm glad to see you've got your head and your heart in the right place, my friend! I'm very wary of a lot of what's 'out there' in the world of Christianity right now. The whole prosperity movement among WOF'ers really worries me. They are totally twisting the gospel to suit their own worldliness. But we'll leave that discussion for another time!
