i just listened to Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts,
do you think that could be taken in Christian context also?

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

And now Im just rolling home
Into my [savior's] arms
This much I know is true,
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

if you change a few words around, it could be completely taken as a religious song

I've never heard of Rascall Flats, but I am familiar with the original version of the song by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

If you're an emergent, then I guess you'll consider it a "Christian" song, but, as a Christian song, the doctrine is terrible.

We don't come to Christ because of bad experiences. We come to Christ because we're convicted by the Holy Spirit of our sins and recognize our need to repent and put our faith in Christ and His atonement on the cross on our behalf.

I don't get the part about "You've been there/you understand". The Bible says that Jesus is acquainted with grief, but it never says that He was a sinner.

Likewise, we don't "start out on a narrow road". In the Bible, the "narrow road" refers to the road taken by those who are born again. Until we're born again, we're on the wide road to destruction and the Bible says that no one seeks after God.

I predict I'll be called a Pharisee and a legalist in 3...2...1...
