That is reparations,” a BLM organizer said. “Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance"

Black Lives Matter members in Chicago held a rally on Monday to support the more than 100 arrested last night following widespread looting and rioting that caused at least $60 million in property damage and saw 13 police officers injured, according to a report.

The rally was organized by Black Lives Matter Chicago and was held at a police station in the South Loop where organizers say individuals are currently being held in custody. At least one organizer called the looting tantamount to "reparations."

“I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats,” said Ariel Atkins, a BLM organizer, according to NBC Chicago. “That makes sure that person has clothes.”

“That is reparations,” Atkins continued. “Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance.”

The unrest was prompted by a social media post urging people to converge on Chicago’s business district after police shot a man on the South Side around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

She should be arrested for conspiracy to commit a crime and the first time someone does loot that heard her statement she is charged with looting and destruction of property.

For those who claimed "the rioting and looting isn't BLM," this is official confirmation that it was.

So if a Trump supporter calls for beating up those who disagree that means all Trump supporters are calling for the same thing?

The point was that it was the official BLM organisers saying this.

More Fox News propaganda! Biased reporting has no appeal to those of us who actually want the truth.

And my point is that BLM organizers aren't all in agreement.

I applaud the statements in those videos, and certainly not everyone out in the street supported the violence, at least in the beginning of the protests. But apparently the leaders of BLM Chicago do, as the rally itself was in support of those arrested for breaking the law. Here's their official statement:

Black Lives Matter Chicago issued a statement obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times that read, “The mayor clearly has not learned anything since May, and she would be wise to understand that the people will keep rising up until the [Chicago Police Department] is abolished and our Black communities are fully invested in,” the group said in a statement.

I agree that there are some that have gone beyond what is a legal protest, that's obvious. As I said, any that incite rioting and looting should be arrested and I wouldn't hesitate to do that if I were the one in charge.

The problem is, the BLM protests are drawing the violence and it appears that they know it, yet claim they oppose the violence.

If they oppose it, then they should see that their constant protests day after day is causing the violence to continue.

Go home and make change legally with the support of the people. Maybe then people will come over to your side. Right now you're only making enemies.

That's not the only problem that they have. BLM has gotten to have a horrible reputation and so most people will only see it as a terrorist group despite the fact that there might actually be some good people in it trying to make a difference,.. cause once you get a reputation it sticks to you like a shadow.
