I have question this in another post before, but why Americans give so much credence to talk show hosts? People who are so far removed from the average Joe/Jane?

It is much easier to let others do our thinking for us. Thinking makes my head hurt

....this virus has really shown the true colours of a lot of people, from the quacks trying to sell cures, the conspiracy theorists that want to act like this is no big deal, those that think money is everything, and so on.

Candace Owens has been pushing this stuff *hard*, too, lately. I can appreciate looking a bit askew at fudging some of the death numbers, but she's going off the deep end charging that the disease isn't as contagious as people have been reporting and her FB page is full of fans cheering her on.
