  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

Big changes are coming. Wonderful changes...

Many seem to read my non-stop posts. :) But I suspect, of those, most look at the words as either condemning or desirable but sadly, impossible sounding. And what do I share? That we are either walking in the flesh or in the spirit. We are either walking in the old man, or the new. We cannot be both.

To be able to walk in the spirit, we must first come to the point where we hate our old nature, for it not only sins, it walks with self in full control. Oh, it can be religious, and can do good things, but because the power to perform these comes from the man, and not God, it is as filthy rags to Him.

When we finally are tired of our failure, and having our relationship with our Father be an "in and out", "up and down", "sometimes I am in charge, sometimes He is in charge" relationship, and long to ABIDE in our amazing God, and truly longing to lose our life to find His, then we are ready to take a drastic step. We are ready to reckon ourselves dead to the old man. We are able to believe what has always been true, from the first day that we believed, that we are dead and our life is hid with Christ in God.

This is what Jesus meant when He told us to "either make the tree good or make the tree evil." He told us clearly that a good tree CANNOT bear bad fruit. Wow! This is what God is restoring to us, His sleeping people. No more "trying to be good". No more being satisfied with a prayer life that was 95% us talking and and every once in a while we feel that He actually 'shows up'.

Abide. Walk in the Spirit. And trust me, we will ALL walk in the Spirit, once we get sick and tired of walking in ourselves. God is about to awake true Christianity in all of us.

I know how crazy this sounds, but it still is true. God is going to lead us back to the truth, so that we can all light our lamps and put on the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only this that will make sure that we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

Look, I know how hard it is to wrap our heads around this, how impossible it seems, how supernatural, mirac ulous, almost 'biblical' in its proportions, LOL. Right?

But any true child of God will have to admit, even if it is just to themselves, that there is still an itch that has not been scratched, a level of intimacy that we long for, an inner belief that church is supposed to be family, blood brothers, walking as sojourners together towards our REAL home, not an hour and a half of intimacy with the guy in fronts' head. Am I right? Do you think God would plant that desire there, and then disappoint us? Not a chance in Heaven. :)

Big changes are coming. Wonderful changes.

    Blessings,

    Gideon

When I see saints walking as living sacrifices, loving not the world neither the things that are in the world, yet with smiles on their faces ear to ear, when I see prayer services as full as praise services, when I see saints believing that their God will NOT allow them to be tempted above their ability to resist, and them actually TAKING the way of escape God faithfully provides, then I will agree with you. Until then, I will continue to share what God has asked me to share.

Let us not be stubborn and dig in our heels and not get all that God has for us. The blind man received healing from Jesus and Jesus asked him if he could see. He said yes, "but I see men as trees walking." Wise man.

Jesus touched him again and he saw perfectly. Our turn to admit we see men as trees walking, amen?

I do not deny what God has done for us, and yes, many are much changed fro the life they lived in the world. But God has very clearly promised us total spiritual healing and victory. Let us realize that His promises, His exceeding great and precious promises, were given to us as stepping stones to being us into the likeness of His Son. Why would we not want them fulfilled in us?

Believing that Jesus was the Son of God is but the beginning of our good fight of faith. We must grow in faith, and the first thing we must do is to get rid of the rebel inside us, the one who lets the enemy in at times. We must become ONE with the Lord inside us and hate our old us who resents correction and chastening and there is but one way. We must reckon the old us as DEAD. To fail here is to doom us to a Christian life of Sinai wanderings instead of possessing what God died to give us.

We truly have no idea what God has prepared for us as the last day church, but I am getting glimpses, and it will take our breath away.

    Blessings, and in love

    your brother in Christ

    Amen Gideon,

Let us give up our dissipations to be filled with the Spirit of God.

Just as one has to give up playing tennis on Sunday morning, to serve Jesus on Sunday morning. So we are asked to lay aside the hinderances that entangle us to run with endurance the race set before us. Heb 12:1

5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.

The final issue is not to look but to serve. God said in Matthew 7 that the one who BUILDS on the rock will withstand the storm. When we follow Jesus's words dying to our old life and the prep to maintain our sin and hinderances. We then are free to roll up our sleeves to serve others in love.

You mean around the world or in the West? Wow, where? I haven't seen the Shekinah Glory of God in any church yet and I visited a lot.
With the dead raised, like in the services of the Jeffrey brothers and new arms, like in the Azusastreet revival? If this was the case, I wouldn't hear mocking atheists anymore.

Would it make much sense for someone to go hear a long winded but sincere pastor if you did not agree with his message, complained that his sermons were too long, and then were there again the next night, only to voice the same complaint again??

It would make on think that that person was there only to stir up others against him, amen?

This is an open forum, and I welcome you here, as well as others, to wade through my long posts. MY prayer is that somewhere along the line, what I share begins to take precedence over how I share it in your eyes.

If you do not like reading long posts, these that are mine are probably not for you. (Understatement of the year, LOL) I would think that would make it a slam dunk to simply pass them by.

Now if you disagree with WHAT I share, that God has promised us victory over sin and self if we continue in His words, then would it not be better to dispute my take with scriptures showing me in error and proving that we are indeed walking in all that God has for us? To continue to try to belittle me or my "sharing technique" would perhaps make some think you had no real argument but that you simply do not like my conclusions and were content with business as usual, amen?

    Blessings,

    Gideon

I think that there are pockets of places all over including the west where there is a measure of real revival. But we could use a lot more.

For example , there is a Christian in the town where I live who decided to start a house church with just himself and his wife. He went out and handed out tracts and witnessed to people on the streets. In a year and a half , he has had around 20 people converted and they are now a part of his house church. that is a measure of real revival. Some of the people that got converted are now off of drugs and alcohol and are going to church every week seeking to know God's will for their life. That is real change for the better.

On the other hand , there are people who have been in the church for twenty , thirty , forty years and there is no discernible change in them. They are pew warmers who can barely drag themselves to church once a week. The church is in need of real revival.
But if there was absolutely zero life and zero revival world wide , then the church would have ceased to exist. The fact that there is still a church is because the Holy Spirit has sustained the church and kept it alive.

So both are true. The church is badly in need of real revival and more of the Holy Spirit , but there is also a lot of great stuff going on around the world in churches.

Wow, that's really great to hear, that's an inspiring example from the housechurch. We have a housechurch with a few people and my ex's sister has worked with druggaddicts and borderliners. A few got delivered from drugs in the past in that housechurch, but they fell back. And then they said: they didn't want to.
I believe this message is for the people who want to but can't do it themselves. When I was in a mental hospital 4 years ago it was a pity we divorced, because never in my life I had seen so much openness for the gospel. I could testify to everyone there, but unfortunately I wasn't able to help them then. I want to contact one again who gave his heart to the Lord then, but couldn't stop with heroin and alcohol.

A couple in my church run a house in the city for people who are in need of accomodation due to struggles while getting off drugs etc too and people are coming to the Lord, before burnout (due to my own lack of wisdom) I used to go out on a van which provided food and warm drinks and soup to people on the street and we used to be able to at times talk with people about the Lord, my church has many other ministries to the community too. Also used to volunteer at a place run by believers where there was free food given out Mon- Fri to any and all who needed it. There are people who go out on the streets regularly in my church specifically to share the gospel and it is surprising how open people are to hearing the gospel, there are people getting saved and being baptised regularly in my church especially through the youth ministry which has hundreds coming along. In my city there are many churches and many reaching out into the community and God is honoring that and reaching people all the time, every day, today this is happening.
While the Church has its struggles, we need to remember the power and glory of God at work in His people also, which personally it is impossible not for me to see! so I am very blessed to be in a place that while yes it is hard work as it is coming up against opposition it is also fruitful and God is very much there.
God has shown me great mercy in allowing me to be a part of a church that is a place where God is very much working in and through His people, why He has done that I dont know except that He is love and I was previously very hurt in a church so maybe it is God showing the spiritual realm, look at my mercy, you tried to harm this child of mine and now I have placed her in a place that is full of my Grace and Love, see my glory in this one's life and what I have done. God is awesome.

Thank you for the balance in what you shared. It is useful to see God's hand at work so we know His reality and care. We can talk all we want about it but unless it is real and tangible there is no point imho. God is real and alive and working today very much, God be praised!

I have shared more than a few times about Ezekiel 36, where God Himself tells us what the new covenant will do for us. We will actually possess new hearts, new natures and because we will have been made new, He will be able to "cause us" to walk as obedient children.

Ezekiel 37 is tied into this amazing phenomenon. Most of us know it. It is the valley of dry bones. There once was life, now just dry bones of religion, form without life, without substance. But something happens. The bones begin to move, exhibit life-type movement. The form begins to take on a more "life-like" appearance. Bones get sinew and then muscle, but still, no real life.

Then, God tells Ezekiel to speak to the bones. Speak LIFE to them. And Ezekiel speaks:

    "Live, bones, live."

And miracle of miracles, God breathes on the bones and.... they come alive.

Almost 2000 years without real overcoming life, with only "healed-only slightly", 2000 years of the promises of God not being seen to work, and finally, God awakens His giant. The church of God awakes. And the promises? We awake to them as well. The latter rain will finally have arrived and guess what? The former rain on the early church will be eclipsed by the torrent of life that will sweep us away from who we WERE into what we are always called to be- OVERCOMERS.

I am thrilled at the testimony of the house church you shared. I am thrilled at ANY true movement back to God and away from dead once-a-week form where we look at ourselves in the mirror briefly, and see God there, only to walk away ad then forget what manner of man we were. Back to the REAL world, right? ....or so we think.

This time? We don't forget who we are. This time, when we peer into the mirror of God, we stare at it, and the very sight of who we really are begins to change us from glory to glory by the Spirit of the God we serve.

It is coming. Revival. REAL new life. As far as what we have considered "revivals" to be, they were only minor electrical cardiogram impulses compared to the bolt of life that is about to hit us. The split will thus occur. The wheat and the tares will be separated as the end approaches on the horizon.

This last revival will cause many to turn back, for the cost will be too high. The cost? We must hate our own life that has gotten comfortable in a world we were never meant to love. We must long to be freed from the grip of a flesh who will NEVER let Jesus reign over us. We want it to be a "joint effort". God is my co-pilot? Never. He is the pilot and it is a one-seater cockpit we will be flying. Our seat is in the rear.

The reward? When we willingly put off our old nature, God cloths us with new ones, and the mystery of the gospel, Christ in us, the hope of glory? It comes to pass.

Gideon's army (and PLEASE, I make no references to me here) is about to learn what breaking their earthen vessels to reveal the light inside really means. The army of darkness is about to meet the army of light. We will all learn to "put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh (to exist) to fulfill the lusts thereof" and when we do, the effects will be staggering. Millions who love the light but hate churchianity will be swept into the kingdom of God and millions more will reveal themselves as tares, and run back to the god of this world, where their hearts really have been all along.

Do we see movement? Yes, some and praise God, the bones are beginning to rattle. But let us not be satisfied until God inhales deeply and exhales hard into us, breathing life, overcoming life, into our hearts and minds so that we can be fully prepared for the upcoming wedding feast. How prepared? Without spot or wrinkle. THAT prepared.

Did we think it was all a fairy tale? No, brothers and sisters, we are about to see what "living happily ever after" really means. We are about to stop trying in vain to "do" and learn how to BE. We ARE light, not to try vainly to become it, and the eye salve He is giving us will let us see what we have been up till now blind to, that we are dead and our life is hid with Christ in God.

    Blessings,

    Gideon

Peter Wentz in Stuttgart, Germany has a church that has been blossoming since before WW2 - The last time I was there he had over 400 in leadership of home churches across the City. Thousands being set free and discipled every year.

Ulk Eckman has grown from a little church in Sweden to three countries with the Gospel of Jesus Christ - millions being set free every years.

The Indonesian revival that ran 7 days a week for years -

Sharon Daugherty continues leading a home church of 15,000 with more than 1,100 home churches in ONE city

Youngi Cho leads a church of 700,000 plus, mostly home churches reaching and setting millions free

Kenneth Hagin Ministries continues to expand with Bible Schools in over 30 countries with 65,000+ trained ministers

GUTS Church in Tulsa OK a little church of 5,000+ that are actively reaching the people no one wants.

Church on the Move - Tulsa, OK 22,000 people strong reaching an average of 100,000 people and more a year with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

But hey, the church isn't active and nothing is happening.

^_^ Well the church in Holland is just starting to wake up.
I want what they prophecied in the Azusastreet 100 years ago, a worldwide revival and this year in Holland.

    Jesus said:

"He that commits is is a servant to sin and the servant does not "abide the house always."

When we get tired of an in and out, up and down, always moving, seldom progressing Christianity and define freedom the way Christ did, and cry out from our wretched man state to be delivered from a nature that simply refuses to always obey him but only when it meets our approval, we will see and walk in real freedom, FREE INDEED, what the word calls "the glorious liberty of the children of God.

The world is headed to hell in a handbasket and we are for the most part found under our bushel baskets pretending like the job is done, patting ourselves on the back at how good we are doing.

If we believed what we say we believe, we would be bombarding Heaven day and night to light us on fire so that we can look an unbelieving world in the eyes and tell them with no shame that God can set them free from self rule, because He has for us.

    But...we can't...because we don't.

    Blessings,

    Gideon

Well let's do it then. One man started here to go on the streets. I'm trying to convince my church to do the same. I did share my testimony (and yours, hope you don't mind) on an atheist forum, but I don't know if that's the way to evangelize, guess not. Whatever. The Lord gave my computer a virus, so I couldn't post there anymore.^_^
I'll pray for wisdom and open doors. Maybe I'd better get away from my computer now and then. Being an internetaddict isn't good either.
