The White House fired the general counsel of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Friday, continuing a push to oust controversial Trump appointees viewed as hostile to the mission of the agencies they worked for.

Sharon Gustafson, who as the commission’s general counsel was in charge of its high-stakes litigation over workplace discrimination on issues like race, religion and sex, was dismissed by the White House by letter on Friday afternoon after refusing to resign

...Seems like Biden's on a firing spree. For no reason.

One of Joe Biden’s first acts as President of the United States, the removal of National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) general counsel Peter Robb, was probably unconstitutional. It was certainly highly unethical. Biden fired Robb despite the NLRB being an independent federal agency. And Biden apparently did it because his union friends don’t like Robb.
Commentary: One of Biden's first acts as President may have broken the law

Why is it good that the Biden Administration is firing people for no reason?

Elections have consequences. Political appointees all over the Executive Branch 'serve at the pleasure of the president'. Especially when the party in the WH changes, it's expected that they are all replaced by the new guy's team. I believe the usual procedure is that they all write up and sign resignation letters in advance, and the letters are accepted when the new president has a replacement ready.

There were concerns about Gustafson as she related to LGBT rights: Letter of Concern on the Nomination of Sharon Gustafson to Serve as General Counsel of the EEOC - The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights

IIRC, it's pretty standard operating procedure for appointees to tender their resignations when a new administration comes in; particularly when asked. If the new admin wants you, they'll keep you on. Otherwise, it's a nice, simple way for the new admin to put in their own people and helps to promote a peaceful and uncontentious transition of power.

Good, She shouldn't have been hired in the first place. Since not doing her job.
