President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign colluded with U.S. intelligence agencies to rig the election by discrediting and helping censor the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, according to an explosive report Wednesday from the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees and the select subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government.
The 65-page interim report — titled “The Hunter Biden Statement: How Senior Intelligence Community Officials and the Biden Campaign Worked to Mislead American Voters” — says then-Biden campaign adviser and current Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged a former CIA deputy director to write a statement dismissing as “Russian disinformation” reporting by the New York Post and others about information from a laptop that had belonged to the Democratic presidential nominee’s son.
Supporting Documentation:

Five days after the Post story, 51 former intelligence community officials, using their official titles and citing their national security credentials, released a public statement suggesting the story “ha[d] all the classic earmarks” of Russian disinformation.4 Three days after that, Vice President Biden used this public statement in a nationally televised presidential debate to rebut President Trump’s criticisms, asserting “there are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what this, he’s accusing me of is a Russian plan.”5 What has not been examined, until now, is how 51 former federal employees with intelligence and national security credentials came together to insert themselves into the thick of the presidential campaign
5 Following this outreach from the Biden campaign, Morell began the process of drafting the statement—something Morell testified would not have happened but for Blinken’s communication. In addition, following the October 22 presidential debate— during which Vice President Biden used the public statement to rebut President Trump’s criticisms—Biden campaign chairman Steve Ricchetti called Morell to thank him for the statement.
This is an important read

The report found no wrongdoing by Biden. We're still waiting for confirmation this laptop even exists.
What report? Not the one in the OP - are you introducing something off topic?

How would that rig the election?

So far, there's been nothing coming from the laptop to make a difference.
You should open a thread on that subject this one is about 51 former Intelligence being coordinated to sign off on a letter

If you don't want me to talk about something in your OP, then don't put it in your OP. If there was no negative consequences of Biden rustling up some intelligence, then I'm not concerned about it. The Russians probably did get involved with misinformation to some degree, they do that an awful lot.

It was all a lie. Their letter was the culprit “interfering with democracy” in broad daylight.
Not one of the 51 had seen any material from the laptop or bothered asking for it, but their letter, instigated by, signed and delivered to Politico by Democratic operative and former John Brennan aide Nick Shapiro, killed the story stone dead. It got candidate Joe Biden off the hook for the corrupt influence-peddling scheme his family had been running through the eight years of his vice presidency.
The shameful letter was used by Joe Biden three days later, on October 22, to deflect Trump’s attack in their last debate.
Yes, that letter from the Dirty 51 had “all the classic earmarks” of a disinformation operation, all right — one designed to ensure Joe Biden won the presidency. And it was essentially a CIA operation, considering 43 of the 51 signatories were former CIA.
In the two years since, not one of them has admitted they are wrong.
David Priess at least gets marks for subjecting himself to a cross-examination on Fox News one recent afternoon. He tried to defend the letter by saying people were too stupid to understand it. The letter was “still true” because it did not use the words “Russian disinformation,” but concocted the weasel phrase “earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
He knows perfectly well that Biden and the media drew no distinction, that the letter he signed was used to censor and deride The Post’s accurate story and deny the American people the truth about one of the two candidates for president.
The laptop becomes public knowledge and (read the report), the BIDEN campaign rally's 51 former intelligence personnel to sign off on a letter, when they never saw the content. Quite clearly a plan to circumvent the damage of the laptop being reviled.

As many as 17 percent of those who voted for Democrat Joe Biden might have chosen differently at the polls, had they been given fair media coverage of the candidates in the weeks leading up to the election, according to a report.

LOL. Killed it stone dead? I've been hearing about the laptop ever since Rudy Giuliani first started running around claiming that it had all sorts of incriminating evidence on it. As far as I can tell, the letter had no effect on the insinuations and innuendo at all.

What scheme? The House Republicans just finished an investigation into these allegations and found no evidence of wrongdoing on Biden's part.

The only people truly invested in the supposed laptop are the Donald apparatchiks who wanted it to be an October Surprise, their messengers in the Conservisphere and Donald's ardently faithful and devoted followers.

Most people didn't care then and don't care now. I hope no one posts that embarrassing Media Research Center push poll.

I know this will sound completely insane to the folks at Western Journal and people who take their propaganda seriously, but maybe they chose to endorse a warning to be on the lookout for Russian disinformation (and that the supposed laptop bore all the hallmarks of such) because they had inside knowledge about such efforts from 2016 and knew the IC had concerns about similar efforts in 2020.

You know, Occam's razor.

I guess one could claim that all 51 are deep state operatives, acting under the orders of shadow president Obama and his sinister cabal at the DNC because they hate Donald and feared his highly successful efforts at draining the swamp and making America great again.

But again, Occam's razor.

One would assume that journalists would be expecting this or that scandal or laptop to “turn up” ‘round about October, the provenance of which would need to be pristine.
This came through Rudy.

Going to go out on a limb and guess that this is either wrong or misinterpreted.

American citizens have every right, even a duty, to participate in American elections. This charge is totally bogus on its face yet it is repeated as the talking point du jour.

Jim must be getting really desperate. There's nothing wrong with a bunch of ex-IC officials making an assessment of something that seems related to their expertise, even in political context. The "impact" of this thing was so great that I either had never heard of it, or forgot about it within a week.

Agreed. The weaponization of government subcommittee is now the weaponization of private citizens subcommittee. 'How dare these citizens exercise their right to speak freely without government interference? The government needs to interfere!'

The "impact" of this thing was so great that I either had never heard of it, or forgot about it within a week.

I think I found a thread here on the topic and it had like 3 posts.

And yet there is supported proof of the above, foot noted and referenced that people are out right ignoring or denying.

The Biden campaign also received massive help from dark money superPACs, various endorsements, and mean tweets about Trump. But like this letter from former officials, there's nothing illegal, unethical, or underhanded about any of it.
