Which books do forum folk think make the best reading on Mary?

I will start the ball rolling with two:

The best book ever on Mary arguing from apologetics and doctrine.
I think is " behold your mother " staples
All the difficult doctrines justified in depth.

And from history, archeology and non canonical writings
" Mary of Nazareth" hesseman, makes a great companion volume

People would be surprised at how much archeology folllows the traditions of Mary, Not just in holy land but e.g.
The trail of the holy family through Egypt.

@Mountainmike
I've only read like, a page or two of it, but the fact that I've seen quote and excerpts from this, every time I read stuff on Mary, I'd recommend The Glories of Mary by Saint Alphonsus de Liguori: https://www.amazon.com/Glories-Mary...s=the+glories+of+mary+saint+alphonsus+liguori

Indeed.
But if it is the book I think, it does not pretend to be a theological defence of the foundation of dogmas of Mary, rather it develops on that foundation into how that dogma is developed in the writings of saints, and devotions flowing from them. (but that might be my bad memory!)

Staples is (my view) still the best underpinning I have read of all the marian dogmas from biblical references and Mary in salvation history. Entire chapters discussing such as immaculate conception and mediatrix.
