Hey guys,

I was wondering what your favorite books on Evangelism have been?

I've read a few that I found really interesting.

Here's my list:
Chasing The Dragon (Jackie Pullinger)
Capturing a Town for Christ (Elmer Towns)
Mere Christianity (C.S. Lewis)
Changing the World Through Discipleship (Robert Herber)
A Practical Guide to Evangelism – Supernaturally (Chris Overstreet)
The Cross and the Switchblade (David Wilkerson)
The Book that Transforms Nations (Loren Cunningham)
The Radical Reformission (Mark Driscoll)
Evangelism Explosion (Dr. D. James Kennedy)

I realize some of these books aren't strictly evangelistic in nature, but offer good insights.

I wrote up a more extensive blog summarizing my thoughts on these books here:
Top 9 Christian Books on Evangelism and Missions

Let me know if you think I should add any more to the list!

Thanks,
TBC Christian

Yes, you should add the book of Acts, and the four Gospels!

Most Christians I meet don't know how John the baptist evangelized, nor how the Lord evangelized, nor how the Apostles evangelized, but they know how televangelists evangelize; and many know C.S. Lewis, and David Wilkerson, but few know anything about the actual Gospel, and much less about the way God said men ought to evangelize.

PS: I hardly have the time to study the bible about what it says about itself, I can't imagine replacing the time that I have for reading the bible with the reading of other books that claim to be telling me what the bible already says...

Thanks for the feedback!

The bible is obviously supreme in its' teachings, however there is room to grow from others and what's worked for them. It's not a bad thing to read christian literature outside of scripture.

It's also a great thing to read about someone's testimony and how God has worked in and through their life. Very encouraging indeed!

Chasing the Dragon with Jackie Pullinger is one such example.
