CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Once your rep gets up to 1,000,000 (actually a little less than that) you get a star. And then for every million after that, you get another star. You can see the stars on many of the posts here. Also, as your rep level gets higher, you are able to give more reputation to others. For example, right now, when I rep someone, their number jumps by about 17,000.
Definitely not! This is a great thread to post in. But if you go to the thread that I linked in my post above, you'll get your first star quite quickly! Also, look for threads that have titles like "Rep the last 2 people above" or "Rep the person above". Those are also ways to get your rep level to climb quickly!
Whenever you get a new star, go to the thread called Repaholics STAR LOG (Document Your Bling) and post about your new star!

I'm really trying to get to 20 stars! All of my reps are tied up until Thursday (or sooner if I can get my rep power up quickly), but I promise to rep every single person to reps me as soon as my reps become available. I'm keeping a spreadsheet so that I won't for get anyone. Please help me get up there! With more rep power I'll be able to help others jump up quickly!

Oooohh you're right!! I've got to get there!!! I am pledged to give someone 3 stars and still have 2,347,044 to go. At my current rep power, its taking quite a while.
How cool it will be to give anyone a whole star with one days worth of reps!!! I can't wait!!! I just noted on my spreadsheet that you will be my first star-a-day person once I hit 25 stars for bringing that to my attention!!!
