Hi Family,

What is the process of being recognized as saint?

Can anyone become a saint?

Is it based primarily on works?

Do saints have special powers?

~Natsumi Lam~
The New Testament definition of "saint" is a person who have received Christ as Saviour and is born again of the Spirit of God.

Some church traditions have elevated some special people and called them "Saints".

Hi Family,

What is the process of being recognized as saint?
In the Orthodox Church it usually begins with local recognition. They are revealed by God through miracles and visitations, and the Church acknowledges what God has revealed after a period of discernment. Martyrs are automatically recognised as Saints, so miracles are not always necessary for recognition
Can anyone become a saint?
Absolutely, by preserving in yourself, through God's grace, the image and likeness of God in which you were originally created.
Is it based primarily on works?
If you consider prayer for others a work.
Do saints have special powers?
They love God. God loves them. God hears their prayers.

Once you're a Christian, you're a saint.

Being a saint means one is walking in the heavenly realm in the Spirit. It is about the life...the resurrection life imparted to they who walk IN Christ.

God recognizes His own. "The Lord knows those who are His."

We are to labour to enter His rest. Becoming a saint is very difficult and seems downright impossible. But then faith makes all things possible :)

A saint does the works prepared in advance...perfect works as Christ works through people.

A saint is gifted with grace...so you never know what the Lord will do through His vessels.
