Now, of course this does not justify killing someone over something as petty as ideology, but to claim innocence as if the action was not prevoked in any way is just naive.

Take Bhutan. Bhutan is an officially buddhist state. Buddhists are renown for their pacifist nature. They are officially anti-Christian. Though this was in REACTION to Bhutan being subject to heavy missionary work. If Christians never travelled to Bhutan to try and convert the Buddhists, Bhutan would not have made this official policy.
