From the hyper love of autumn, we see,

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."
George Eliot

Beautiful.

"Come, little leaves," said the wind one day,
Come over the meadows with me and play.
Put on your dresses of red and gold;
For summer is gone, and the days grow cold."

We have a lot of tulip poplars, green ash and red oak.
I like them all.

i prob'ly do too.....all this time, those exquisite leaves i've been collecting have been Maple leaves (amongst others) and i didn't know they were Maple trees. ^_^

*goes to look up tulip poplars, green ash, and red oak*

Conkers are the fruit of the horse chestnut. They come in prickly covers. Children play conkers with them on string.

i think i've seen them here...

Beautiful.

The only thing wrong with that photo is that I'm not on one of those benches.

hahaaaa me too....

i used to live surrounded by concrete, just plots of soil, with a tree in it, up and down the blocks....but there were parks, some small, others larger that were similar to that picture. They were like an oasis amongst the hurry skurry of the city.

It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.
Laura Ingalls Wilder

What a lovely and wise quote.

She was very wise.
