I heard this song and don't know the name, I fell in love with it. Can anyone help me? It's at President Trump's speech from Tulsa.

Begins at 1:41:51
Isn't that "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by the Rolling Stones?

Hi there!

It is a song written by the Rolling Stones ...
called "You Can't Always Get What You Want".

In the Youtube version below, (Rolling Stone) Mick Jagger is singing it with the Washington Chorus.

And here is more info from Wikipedia ...

Not meaning to be mischievous... but...

Jagger, unhappy about Trumps use of the song made this comment...

The band considers the use of the song as a play-out at rallies to be "odd," given that it is a "sort of doomy ballad about drugs in Chelsea".

That's like using CCR's Fortunate Son, what irony.

Thanks!! I wonder if the chorus has done this in studio.. I'm sure President Trump has that version.

You're welcome!

That video I posted was 'live' ...
but, in checking, the original recorded version also has the choir singing on it.

It is funny, @Carl Emerson, how many of us did not know what we were 'singing' about ...
back in the 60's ... 70's ...

Times were more innocent then ... least for some of us ...
and so we ... least some of us ... did not go looking too deeply at the meaning of things.

I was converted late in life ... in my 30's ...
and tossed out my worldly record collection shortly after being born again.

Maybe was abit extreme of me to do, but I found that much of the music I loved in my B.C. (Before Christ) days had a tendency to want to pull me back into the past life that Christ delivered me from. So most of the stuff I loved, I had to 'let go' of ...

This particular song? Still love the beat ... is uplifting ... and the song has no particular memory for me ... except perhaps of Trump Rallies!!! (WooHoo!) And that is a very good memory, for me ...

Nice comment...

Yes I was a musician and had a major purge as well.

Frizbie in the park with LP's was the game back then (very dangerous - not recomended.)
