When we are filled with the Spirit of God we are not half empty or half full. We are full to overflowing!

God bless and thankyou 'rocknanchor'Well, , looking back, , there is no question about it for me; just in case some may be considering this option spoken about in the Bible,
Have you considered what environment makes proximity to Him better?
The event that proved most beneficial to be filled was when I responded to spiritual leadership’s call to be filled and we participated in one accord (as the Bible says) to request from God just as He promised.
Conversely,
The times shown to be least beneficial to be filled with the Holy Spirit was when we waited, just simply knowing God could bless, , but make no advance to verbally request, much less set aside some time to contemplate.
If I may add this one thought, the strangest time spent seeking this blessing of God I find low on emotional comfort, yet high on willingness.
These things are the truth as I exp. them leading up to His blessing, though I know God can bless anywhere.
God bless!
For me it was an overflowing of.....LOVE
That's true 'rocknanchor'. Thankyou LORD for 'The Comforter!'Isn’t it so QB, people just don’t want to accept the fact of this reasoning in scripture, that God would trouble himself to send to common ordinary man a helper to strengthen him or her within for the journey God is quite aware we would need?
Ah wonderful promises of God's Word! How wonderful to be filled with the Spirit, to receive from God an escort to reveal to us, pre-supplied with gifts He also is aware tailored according to the desires of our heart.
“Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)
Mighty! When we are filled with the Spirit, it isn’t entirely for our benefit, but our being filled is often for the benefit of others too. For the Spirit can flow out of us turning our life of satisfactory, to the life of abundance,
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive, ,” (John 7:39,39)
“But the fruit of the Spirit is
love,
joy,
peace,
patience,
kindness,
goodness,
faithfulness,
gentleness,
self-control;
against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22, 23)
Amen! When we are filled with the Spirit, I like to think it comes to us by the whole gamut, not limited to the Minister, Pastor, Priest, but,
"Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19)
Thankyou 'miknic'. It sure was!For me it was an overflowing of.....LOVE
