Thankyou for your observations 'rocknanchor' and you have raised a number of valid points. I especially like your reference to brother Ananias laying hands on Saul, who became Apostle Paul. All believers hath the privilege of ministering what God gives through them. As the Pentecostal/Assemblies of God forum here,we can only state what our AOG core beliefs are based on the Word of God. Visitors are very welcome but must not teach against what is believed. We respect your opinions but they should be expressed elsewhere if they go against what is believed by AoG. Wherever there is something genuine there can be a counterfeit, but this does not rule out the real thing. We believe in 'being filled with the Holy Spirit'. The first time this happens to a believer is spoken of in Scripture as the 'baptism in the Holy Spirit' and the scriptural pattern in Acts and Epistles is that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of being 'baptised in the Holy Spirit'. There are so many things that we can discuss and share on that help us to build each other up and encourage and inspire in the Christian Faith. May God bless and keep us all in His love.
