It seems that the press in the UK is like the U.S. press lately,in terms of having to apologize.

I wonder if it’s anything to do with the increasing competition and the speed required of news networks. The BBC has generally been pretty careful and ponderous even. Maybe it’s just got too easy and quick to fire things out there without proper checks.

You guys know that in the United States not too many years ago you could be jailed for blasphemy in some places. What's even more crazy is that we had anti-sodomy laws just like 60 years ago. You could be jailed for doing what people now display in public.

I wonder what things will be like in 60 years from now.

Lots of stuff ordinary vanilla heteros do in their bedrooms was illegal 60 years ago. Anti-Sodomy laws were not just restricted to homosexuals in theory, but included a host of activities most people now consider normal or harmless.

In many ways we live in a much more free society today.

First off, you need to have a bona fide miracle from God. Then you have to start telling people that it was the devil that produced the miracle. And IMO it has to be with the intent of keeping people from hearing and responding to the Gospel message.

How so? Granted, the scriptural example was a current miracle, and current miracles still do happen.

But, how could someone "accidentally" charge that the miracle was done by the devil when they knew darned well it was GOD? If you are trying to get people to not follow God, you would have to intentionally harden your heart to the extreme.
