The fact that book burning/banning is still a thing in the 21st century makes me sad.
At this point in history book burnings are hilarious. All of the information contained in the books that are being destroyed is contained elsewhere in multiple formats, in order to get the books in the first place they have to be purchased thus funding their author/publishers and they draw notoriety to the books.

Death dealing sinfulness is promoted by the world, and by society which is pernicious.

Nothing that pollutes (spirit, soul, mind, or body, or anything) will be found in Heaven.

I wonder if they expressed similar reservations about the Kite Runner (if I remember correctly, there is a portion of it where it is implied that one of the male characters is raped as a means of humiliation), or if they just went by the titles and cover art. It's one thing to advocate banning things you've read and can point to as being a problem in some way, but to simply say that nothing on a particular subject should be allowed at all seems particularly odd. Is it that they think that no one will be gay anymore so long as they can't read about being gay in books from the library?

I've never been gay, so there may be some finer points about it that I don't understand, but I'm almost certain that that's not how things work.

If a book about lesbians and gays gets you into a book burning mode, what will a book that contains such things as murder, rape, infanticide, genocide, death by stoning, homosexuality, torture, incest, to mention just a few, do to your mood?
Oh wait, it's the bible!

I guess that means a lot of Christians won't be there.

He described Heaven.

As a beside, since you see Heaven as a "really terrible place" because it's devoid of sin, you will also note why God doesn't force people to go. For some, heaven really would not be fun..

Nothing makes people want to read forbidden books more than making a big to do about banning them.
Yes. Many followers of the church will get curious and read these books. And realize. The LBGT people aren't so bad. Then these people will be excepting of the LBGT community.

All good comes from God, because authors are God's slaves.
Well that's.... What of the authors of these books that you call garbage? Are they shirking their enslavement?
