Here's my "confusion list" of the last two months (Edited):
  1. Why believers die if Jesus atoned for their sin?
  2. Why unbelievers go to Hell after death if they already paid for their sins by dying (Rom. 6:23)?
  3. Is Hell the penalty for sin?
  4. Why didn't Jesus stay dead to pay the price for our sins: eternal death?
Thanks for answering!
  1. Why believers die if Jesus atoned for their sin?
Death came into the world because of sin back in the days of Adam & Eve. Jesus’ atonement takes care of us after we die, but it doesn’t erase the penalty of the sin.

  2. Why unbelievers go to Hell after death if they already paid for their sins by dying (Rom. 6:23)?
They did not pay for their sins by dying. Again, dying is simply the result of the curse, and it obviously happens to everyone – believer and non-believer. Rom. 6:23 is contrasting what we get as the result of sin (death) with God’s gift of eternal life through Christ.

  3. Is Hell the penalty for sin?
Hell is the consequence for not accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  4. Why didn't Jesus stay dead to pay the price for our sins: eternal death?
Jesus rose not only because it was prophesied, but also because it proves to us that since He conquered death, so He can also conquer death on our behalf as well.
