  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  4. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  5. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.

I have anxiety. Through lack of sleep and long work days and it heightens my anxiety.

I deal with intrusive ocd like anxiety thoughts.

I'm so vulnerable right now... I just wish I could hang in there. Im trying.

How's that faith counselling? I'm willing yo try it if someone would give me an honest review.

Also who would be able to prescribe me anti- anxiety medication?

We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

Your doctor could answer all your questions and direct you to the right professionals to help you. Prayers for you.

Hello @Macchiato, anti-anxiety meds are normally prescribed by a psychiatrist, but your internist may be able to (so call your doctor's office first and find out).

For immediate help, is there someone who could step in, like your parents, family members and/or church family and help you out (perhaps even keep your baby overnight so that you can get a good night's sleep once or twice during the work week)?

As for faith counseling, I'd start with your pastor (he would probably know of some ladies in your church who might be willing to step in and help you out for awhile too, even if it just allows you to get a nap in for an hour or two, etc.).

    Praying for you!

    God bless you! (Numbers 6:24-26)

The small 5 hr bottle, a monster coffee and another monster..

Just So I could get thru the work day.

Yes ER will help you but be honest with all your symptoms. Postpartum may be a cause as well. *hugs and prayers*

You need someone face to face that can support you. No matter the good intentions, internet is not something that’s feasible to help you in day to day life with something as serious as this.

I understand you wanting to get help with your energy but people with anxiety should really avoid caffeine. Do you have family members that can watch the baby so you can nap?

Hello again @Macchiato, if you do not have a church home, I would highly recommend trying to find one. The Lord never intended us to live the Christian life apart from regular fellowship with other Christians, or apart from the church in general. After all, we Christians are all people under authority, which is one of the big reasons that He gave us the church, to be responsible for us and to care for us, and for all of us to be able to care for one another too :)

Pastors and priests have, in fact, been specifically tasked by the Lord (as His underservants) to keep watch over our souls (and they normally excel at giving us help and great counsel, both spiritual and physical, and as our prayer warriors as well) .. e.g. Hebrews 13:17.

Finally, we are there for our brothers and sisters in Christ when they are in need, and likewise, they are there for us when we are in need. You need us, and we need you .. see 1 Corinthians 12:12-27. We are the family of God :)

    God bless you!

I agree but without the drinks I'd fall asleep standing up and get in trouble at work.

I agree with you both. I may seek counseling or a support group or something to help.
