There's so much conflicting advise out there that I read it all, and then experiment cautiously on myself. Right now I'm on RO, and I've bypassed the remineralization stage. I do use some Himalayan salt, and I get a small amount of kelp every day, which has tons of organically-bound minerals.

I recently read that too much rice is not a good thing; there's something in it. Again, I can't vouch. But in general I try to break things up to make sure I'm covering all the bases.

The other thing that helps tremendously for detoxing and body repair is fasting of some sort. I've been on several extended, but right now, fighting h. pylori, I'm doing one meal a day. It's a really nice way to go, I get fasting benefits and also am sure I'm getting nutrition.

That's cool. I've fasted more than my body can handle. I've actually starved myself. My body is in such a low caloric state that my appetite is totally destroyed. I get completely sick every time I eat. I read that vitamin b9 helps with appetite so I got it to try. My nutritional state feels very low. But I can't yet eat as much as I need. Finances right now only let me get by.

One of the amazing things I think about is how huge beasts like cows and bulls eat only one thing all day and get all the nutrition we need. I think there is something very wrong with how we are farming that we are actually losing the nutritional value of our food. Unless we repent and stop destroying our earth by cutting corners with how we make our food then we may not be able to eat anything without getting sick.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you can rebuild your metabolism slowly and steadily. Digestion is the heart of almost everything, including most of the immune system. I was in the hospital with kidney failure, and they wanted me to see all kinds of docs, but I wouldn't. I'm treating it herbally and doing well with it. It's important to come back slowly from a long fast, something I didn't do too well last year.

Yes, our food supply, while good at quantity, is very bad on quality. And that the powers that be allow the junk food advertising assault on our young folk is a scandal. We've abused the land, so that even the soil is despoiled. The end of 2Chron sums up why the Israelites were given to captivity, and it points to the greed that pervaded the nation once it had functionally abandoned the Lord:

He took into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, and they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia,
to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days that it lay desolate it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years. -2Chr 36:20-21

Our land today is badly in need of a "sabbath", so that it can rejuvenate itself naturally. Even USDA "organic" has a lot of loopholes the corporations can exploit. There are some good companies though, that aren't too expensive. The best is to grow your own and have backyard chickens.

I am overjoyed to hear another say and understand the heart of the matter. If I could award more Winner ratings I would.
