Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

Does anyone go stupid nuts over mandatory vaccines to go to school? No. Yet people are acting moronic over the COVID vaccine, honestly these anti-vax people all have an early death wish and more power to them then

Again, it’s bc they have a choice to take the child out of school.

Mandatory vaccination of the general population by the government when not required under contract for employment is medical torture.

I don’t understand what the fuss from the anti vax people about governments requiring vaccination upon entering or exiting the country (that isn’t new but if you don’t want it you have the choice not to travel), or certain employers requiring it (if your employer requires you to have all current FDA vaccinations then that’s what you signed up for).

I’m talking about something very specific and only this.

I’m vaccinated. But it bc an issue of bodily autonomy. The government forcing anything in your body under threat is evil. Especially when it’s the entire population, too.
I don’t care what it is.

I'm not talking about SARS but the underlying idea of the vaccine itself which is mRNA, which had been an idea as far back as 1983, yes it has everything to SARS. Like I told you I did the research quite awhile ago. I am not going to argue nor belabor the point believe or not I do know what I am talking about

    This isn't happening.

Someone posted something about being held down at gunpoint, and being given the shot, but this isn't happening. This is simply restricting people access to public spaces that are unvaccinated.

They can chose not to go to these public spaces unless their vaccinated...so...their choice.

Therefore no-one does so. Certainly not in Germany, and AFAIK not in Austria. Maybe in China ...

Resisting vaccination may result in a fine, if the pandemic worsens even in imprisonment. but not that "torture"you describe.

I'm anti-totalitarian, too. And when I see lies, as your horrifying picture above (welcher Verschwörungstheoretiker hat dir so was eingeflüstert?), or see how the Querfront activists act toward media and everyone who argues against them, I see a real danger for democracy in that movement.

So you don't wash your hands before eating (see Mt 15:1-2,10,15-20 - or Mt 15,1-2.10.15-20 "in German"), you don't take pharmaceutics (since pharmakeia occurs only with a negative meaning in the NT, see Gal 5,20; Rev 9,21; 18,23, right? Or is there an inconsequence in what you say and what you do?

You did, in the post I replied to. That was the point I contradicted.

Everybody has been too optimistic. From the start, it was thought that a 3rd shot would be necessary to let the immunization last for a long time, but the idea was this would be necessary only after about one year.

Now it turns out it is only half a year, or even less (depending on vaccine).

Many vaccines need 3 shots, tetanus is an example I know without looking into the net. Two shots within some weeks, a 3rd after one year, and then 10 years immunization. The odds are very high that after covid-19 booster, immunization will last several years.

You took Mt 15:1-2,10,15-20 out of context.
pharmakeia is about drugs in relation to sorcery ie hallucinogens.

So what is the context I took it out of?

But this is the word "pharmacy" (Pharamzie in German) is derived from.

In did not say you were a conspiracy theorist (CT), but I asked you where you got a notion which is part of a CT from (at least it sounds like a part of a CT).

They are furious because they were told such things happen, and they believed it without any basis - just because it fits their mistrust in authorities.

BTW: Too much German, do you want to migrate to the German forum (https://www.christianforums.com/threads/new-)forum-german.1179039/)?

No, it’s okay. I don’t speak German very well.
I didn’t get a conspiracy theory notion. It’s just that history has many examples of governments forcing the general population to do health procedures they were against or under threat.
So, it’s just there is a very clear line in the sand. Everything before that line (at least for me) is just fine.
I even get upset and believe that involuntary forced medication when one is mentally ill and involuntarily committed is a violation of bodily autonomy.
I have no issue with involuntary commitment, it’s involuntary forced medication.
This issue is very personal to me.

The context is that Matt 15:16 “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. 17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20 These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”

Yes, we should wash our hands. But these things do not defile us spiritually.

Yes, that is the word origin of the word pharmacy. But it’s like the oracle of Delphi who used drugs to have “visions”. That is actual pharmakeia in context to how the term is used in the NT.

This sounds as if there is nothing in the Bible which has a meaning for current medical procedures ... so your statement that only God can command is somewhat vague.

    This is from nhs uk

In 2017/18 there were 10,660 hospital admissions with a primary diagnosis of obesity. This is similar to 2016/17 (10,705).

In 2017/18 there were 711 thousand hospital admissions where obesity was recorded as the primary or a secondary diagnosis. This is an increase of 15% on 2016/17, when there were 617 thousand admissions. Some (though not all) of this increase may be due to hospitals being more likely to record obesity as a secondary diagnosis than they were previously. See the Data Quality Statement for more information.
Part 1: Obesity related hospital admissions - NHS Digital

A study published in The Lancet Public Health shows a clear relationship between body weight and hospital admissions and costs, with increased admissions and associated costs for older women who are overweight or obese.

15% (£662 million) of annual hospital costs for the 6.6 million women aged 55 to 79 in England in 2013 were related to being overweight or obese.
The impact of obesity on hospital admissions and costs — Nuffield Department of Population Health

The third leading cause of deaths in England in July 2021 was...Malignant neoplasm of trachea bronchus and lung a.k.a. lung cancer, which is primarily caused by smoking, covid that month was 9th
Covid makes a comeback as one of top 10 causes of death in England - what are the others?

So obesity and smoking does bring a lot of people to hospitals annually. They are the reason why hospitals are packed. Do you even know how many serious health problems obesity causes? And btw obesity was on of the two biggest factors in covid deaths, so yes, there is a lot of obese covid patients in hospitals, and many would not have to be there if they weren't obese. Of course not everyone who is obese is because of poor life choices, but majority of people are.

What about now? Still don't have a problem with obese people and smokers heavily filling hospital beds? Do you see healthy young unvaccinated people filling up hospitals with covid? As I said, vaccinate the health and vulnerable, and who ever choses to, but don't make it mandatory for everyone including children who are barely affected by covid.

Here in England they complain there is not enough health workers because they are overwhelmed because of covid. So they make the vaccine mandatory for health workers, and 60,000 who refuse the vaccine have to leave. Very clever.

ahhhh there it is, those that get off thinking this is some kind of new holocaust where being asked to save lives is akin to people dying, how mature.

This argument is stupid when you factor in majority of Americans are obese and overweight, so guess what this aplies statistically to you. I wonder how many that are like, "Oh this only effects obse/overweight people fall under that category without realizing it.

The irony of all this...is that those in the medical field that refuse the very thing they are suppose to uphold (virus mitigation practices)...have no business being in healthcare.

Or maybe not an irony, but a paradox?

No, the hospitals were built to cover the "normal" illness cases, including those which are result of obesity and/or smoking.

You can't build hospital after hospital, all running with, say, 10% of their capacity in order to be prepared when a epidemic comes and people refuse to be vaccinated. So the only alternative to vaccination is lockdown after lockdown ...

There are doctors who say that the risk for children by covid-19 is higher than the risk of being vaccinated.

The German StiKo (ständige Impfkommission, "permanent commission on vaccination") is discussing child vaccination, it seems that it will recommend vaccination for age 6-11 only for children with certain health problems, and delay the decision on general child vaccination until more data is known (mostly from countries that do vaccine all children, like Israel).

Not being vaccinated has not only medical risks. Some parents want their child vaccinated because they don't want the kindergarten or primary school their children attend to be closed (bc of a local outbreak). The isolation caused by such means is not good for children and causes mental problems and even (psychosomatic?) health problems.

    EDIT: many typos etc.
