One my favourite ways to read (for want of a better word!) is to listen to audio CD's. It allows me to do other things or simply lie back and relax. I have several audios, the full series of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings amongst other. But I have to say that I have read them via print first, you can't beat readingthe original first.

I was wondering what other peoples views are on audio books, do you think it is a good way to get to know good literature or a lazy way of reading.

I think they're great! I love listening to audio books as I work. Have you tried 'libravox' - it is a website with free audio books. The recordings are of variable quality. For female listeners I'd recommend their recording of Jane Eyre. I have to read it for a course I'm doing but I must admit it was very good.
