We are apes (by definition). We share ancestors with other apes (and monkeys).So,.. in other words they were monkeys/apes? (I personally don't believe this I'm just trying to understand what you're saying.)

This is why scientists say that we are descended from apes.
I get it .... you believe you are a animal ... so be it ;o)
When you say you can't believe it, do you say that because of a theological belief or because you have analyzed the scientific evidence?I can believe that we looked similar at one point, but I can't believe that we were descended directly from them,.. besides that there were already many claims calling humans apes themselves.
Bats literally hang out in caves.Caves are rare, so man never really lived in caves with the occasional exceptions.
It's not a place where any species hangs out.
Actually, I'm a fungus.![]()
Humans wrote the books included in the Bible. That Bible makes the claim that a god exists, but there is no evidence this is true. I will go where the evidence leads and not peoples word for it that the supernatural exists. Clearly science is more reliable than the beliefs of people speculating on the cosmos thousands of years ago. The further we go back in the human timeline, the less reliable the knowledge is.
Funny how people say this and never feel the need to prove it.
I wasn't referring to awful stuff, but rather your comment that the theological concept of sin actually exists in reality. I see no evidence of that. You and I both witness tragedy; that does not prove the concept of sin.The proof is in the world ..... look around at all the awful stuff going on in our world.
Why did this turn into a debate on the historicity of Jesus?
