UN votes resoundingly to reject Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as capital

Only nine states – including the United States and Israel voting against the resolution.

There were 35 abstentions, including Canada – which Palestinian officials had expected would support the US position. Ambassadors from several abstaining countries, including Mexico, used their time on the podium to criticise Trump’s unilateral move
.

Kinda looks like Trump indeed got the attention of those who have been engaged in self-destructive group think behavior for a while.

And the vast vast majority did not support his position, with a large majority voting against him.

Saw this quote from the Israeli ambassador.
“You are like puppets pulled by your Palestinian masters,” and thought now there is someone historically ignorant. Pointing towards a whole group and accusing them of manipulating people from behind the scenes, where have we heard that before?

I am sure that many of his advisers warned him against making that speech about Jerusalem, but his mind was made up it seems. I just checked and the UK, our supposed closest ally, voted against the U.S. Maybe we should start calling Canada our closest ally now?

The irony is through the roof.

“The vote came after a redoubling of threats by Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN, who said that Washington would remember which countries “disrespected” America by voting against it.”

The United States is starting to sound like a Third World dictatorship.

Haley is a lunatic and needs to go, quickly.

‘We Will Remember’ — Nikki Haley Flexes Hard During U.N. Speech On Embassy Move

The United States will remember this day in which it was singled out in this assembly,” Haley said. “We will remember it when, once again, we are called up to make the world’s largest contribution” to the U.N. and when other member nations ask the U.S. “to pay even more and to use our influence for their benefit.”
...
That is what the American people want us to do and it is the right thing to do,” Haley said of the embassy move

No need.

Stop sending money ... and their governments collapse.

Uh, exactly how many governments are we financing with our taxes and debt to the point of keeping them soluble?

If there is one thing that has always lead to peace, its annexing territory.

Im waiting for the day when the US steps up to a powerful nation instead of constantly trampling and bullying poor and/or destitute nations

US is beginning to sound more like North Korea every day.

Guess nobody is worried about it back home?
