Well, his first encounter with air force after I had met him was at Campbell. Now, mind you I love my husband, but no he didn't have a high regard for them. They were weather guys. He liked them, but felt that they were basically spoiled. They got extra money for having to live in an army facility. But, yes when he was down range, he liked them and had respect for what they did. Well, as much respect as he has for any controller. (as he puts it, he fixes what they mess(input stronger language) up). So you know, as much as is possible.

I know :)

I've always liked poking fun at ex-Army guys that come into AF thinking it'll be a walk in the park and they sign up for flightline maintenance...and then wish they could go back :)

but remember, I'm saying it in an affectionate teasing sort of way.

Well, I don't have to deal with it yet, but if future plans hold through I will be in the next few years.

Now the Marine's new cammies, I like. This.. well.. it's ok. I really don't like the idea of velcro on a combat uniform though. The first thing that popped into my head was Scott O'Grady (I think it was) talking about tying to open his flight suit pockets -velcro- while attempting to hide and make as little noise as possible...

It beats the AF thing though, I'll give it that.

Is that something I can quote in my sig?

Well, various rumors and such trickle their way down, but supposedly we will also have the BDUs and DCUs for actual deployments and this...interesting scheme is just to make us stand out. *roll eyes*

Yep Grunt, you got the name of the Air Force pilot right. The movie "Behind Enemy Lines" showing Navy aircrew was based off his story. A little odd, if you ask me...but then again, the only good Air Force movies I can think of are "Memphis Belle", "Air Force One"...and MAYBE "Broken Arrow", and only because you get to see AF Spec Ops hustling.
