The word Aron [Ark] is related to the word Or, meaning light, for the Torah which is stored in the Ark is the source of light for the world.

Last time I looked into this subject it appeared the majority view at the time considered the Ark to be in Ethiopia. What sources lead you to say it is hidden 1000 meters underground ?

Bloody history makes it non conducive for peaceful archeological work.

I saw a documentary about this. They found the Ark in a room full of snakes, and then the Germans stole it and locked the archaeologist and his girlfriend in with the snakes!

I saw that same documentary .. It's now lock in a large warehouse with other ancient artifacts

2 We know from the records that Jeremiah the prophet instructed the people who were being taken into exile to hide some of the fire from the altar, as we have just mentioned. 2 We also know that he taught them God's Law and warned them not to be deceived by the ornamented gold and silver idols which they would see in the land of their exile. 3 And then he urged them never to abandon the Law.

4 These same records also tell us that Jeremiah, acting under divine guidance, commanded the Tent of the Lord's Presence and the Covenant Box to follow him to the mountain where Moses had looked down on the land which God had promised our people. 5 When Jeremiah got to the mountain, he found a huge cave and there he hid the Tent of the Lord's Presence, the Covenant Box, and the altar of incense. Then he sealed up the entrance.

6 Some of Jeremiah's friends tried to follow him and mark the way, but they could not find the cave. 7 When Jeremiah learned what they had done, he reprimanded them, saying,

No one must know about this place until God gathers his people together again and shows them mercy. 8 At that time he will reveal where these things are hidden, and the dazzling light of his presence will be seen in the cloud, as it was in the time of Moses and on the occasion when Solomon prayed that the Temple might be dedicated in holy splendor.

A newly translated Hebrew tells a tale claiming to reveal where treasures from King Solomon's temple were hidden and discusses the fate of the Ark of the Covenant itself, and the text leaves the exact location of the Ark unclear and states that it, and the other treasures, "shall not be revealed until the day of the coming of the Messiah son of David"

I wonder if this is a good clue as the where it might be.

2Ch 35:3 And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,

Since the Ark was already in the Holy Temple, it must mean that the house spoken of in this verse is King David's home.
