I really hope that Wesley Clark, Jr. may get more involved in national politics. He is such a wonderful spokesperson for environmental and veterans causes. His father, Gen. Wesley Clark, ran for president briefly. He led our troops in Kosovo in the 1990's.

We need young, dynamic, passionate and ethical leaders.

Re-post ICYMI earlier concerning Wesley Clark, Jr. at Standing Rock with thousands of other veterans.

Veterans at Standing Rock shock tribe members, beg forgiveness for war crimes against tribal nations

Army veterans return to Standing Rock to form a human shield against police

Veterans are returning to Standing Rock to help protect and shield the water protectors from more police brutality. The first time veterans came in solidarity to Standing Rock, they asked the tribal elders for forgiveness of past mistreatment.

“We fought you. We took your land. We signed treaties that we broke. We stole minerals from your sacred hills. We blasted the faces of our presidents onto your sacred mountain. When we took still more land and then we took your children and then we tried to make your language and we tried to eliminate your language that God gave you, and the Creator gave you. We didn’t respect you, we polluted your Earth, we’ve hurt you in so many ways but we’ve come to say that we are sorry. We are at your service and we beg for your forgiveness.” - Wesley Clark, Jr.
